Halloween parade, pancakes set Saturday in Libertyville

LIBERTYVILLE — The Libertyville Community Center board will be hosting a Halloween parade at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Libertyville Elementary School grounds.

Judging of costumes will begin at 12:45 p.m., with the parade starting promptly at 1 p.m. from the school. Fairfield Middle School marching band will be featured.

Weather permitting, the parade will be traveling from the school to Broadway Street, Washington Street, to Maple Street, to Main Street and back around to the school. Younger children will meet up with the older ones going just south of the school to Maple Street. Floats are welcome.

Parking is available at the ball park, church and bank parking lots. Parking near the school is discouraged for safety reasons.

The Libertyville Fire Department will host a pancake breakfast from 6-10 a.m. Saturday at the new Libertyville Fire Station.

The Halloween activities are made possible by the Libertyville Community Center, Libertyville Savings Bank, city of Libertyville, Live Wire Electric, TD&T Financial Group, Smithburg Automotive, Libertyville Fire Department, Farmer’s Co-op, RPM Automotive, Fesler Auto Mall, Hickenbottom Inc., Libertyville School, Precision Equipment, Libertyville Gas &Goodies, Farm Bureau- Alex Kessel, and Straight Up Doors.
