The motion to sell substantially all of Fairfield’s Harper Brush Works Inc. assets and the auction process was approved today in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the Southern District of Iowa.

The deadline to submit bids is Nov. 14 and the auction is scheduled for Nov. 19, said Marc Ross, chief restructuring officer at Harper Brush.

“We hope to have a robust auction process and hope to close on a sale by the end of November,” he said.

Harper Brush Works filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy organization May 29. At the end of July, a U.S. bankruptcy court judge gave Harper 120 days to continue operations and attempt to find a buyer.

Bids will be received for both the sale of real estate assets and non-real estate.
