Hinshaw Trailers makes contribution to support agricultural education

Aug 28, 2017

RICHLAND — Hinshaw Trailer Sales of Richland has rewarded two Iowa State Fair FFA participants with their own trailers to use lease-free for one year.

“I like to be involved with the youth programs and agricultural education,” said Korwin Hinshaw, founder and owner of Hinshaw Trailer Sales. “My wife and I have both been very involved, and now several generations of our family are active with agricultural education organizations. As a former FFA member and longtime county fair board member, I have seen what these kids can do, and I believe in the program.”

The recipients were: Nathan Cassady of the West Marshall FFA chapter, who restored a 1969 Ford 800 tractor and was chosen as the champion of the Agricultural Mechanics show; and Payton Vogel of the Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn FFA chapter, who exhibited the supreme champion breeding beef heifer.

The year marks Hinshaw Trailer Sales second year as the sole donor to this program.
