Independent living conference set

The Prospects for Independent Living Conference will be Monday and Tuesday at the Ames Scheman Center.

More than 50 speakers will share their expertise and insight on a variety of topics that will provide aging and disability network professionals, family caregivers, nursing home administrators, direct care workers, and consumers with replicable cutting edge approaches which encourages independence for older persons and adults with disabilities. The conference will motivate and encourage participants to use innovative methodologies to foster greater independence and will provide needed tools to achieve “top billing” in their own professional and personal life.

Registration fee is $100 per individual. Discounts are available for organizations and students.Certificates of Attendance can be used for nursing home administrator and social worker CEUs.
