James Lynn 'Jim' Kindle

James Lynn “Jim” Kindle, 61, of Fairfield died Saturday, May 4, 2013.

A memorial service is at 2 p.m. Saturday at Phoenix Rising Hall at Third Street and Burlington Avenue in Fairfield.

Friends and family will have an opportunity share memories. Finger food, desserts and beverages are encouraged for visiting after the service.

He had no insurance and others are welcome to help with expenses. A donation box will be available at the memorial, or checks may be sent to Noah Kindle, 409 W. Broadway Ave., Fairfield 52556.

Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield is assisting with arrangements.

Mr. Kindle was born Aug. 6, 1951 in Elkhart, Ind.

He was raised in Missouri.

He was a skilled handyman and devoted to political freedoms and served as speaker of the House for the Republic and Iowa Freestate.

Survivors include his companion, Bambi Tummons; one son, Noah; his mother, Lorene Kindle of Bonaparte; and three granddaughters.
