Aug 07, 2018

Jefferson County 4-H members are preparing for the Iowa State Fair Thursday through Aug. 19 in Des Moines, where competing against youth from all across the state allows for another chance to learn and grow within their project area.

The 4-H members have put in countless hours, determination and passion into each of their projects in order to show at the Iowa State Fair, which is an elite opportunity, according to Rachel Wonderlich, Jefferson County youth coordinator.

“Having the opportunity to showcase your project at the Iowa State Fair is truly a great recognition in and of itself,” said Wonderlich. “We commend our 4-H members who have went above and beyond in their projects to be able to have this experience beyond their county involvement.”
