Jefferson County Trails Scavenger Hunt has ‘Extreme Theme’

May 23, 2018

The Jefferson County trails system is holding its fourth annual Jefferson County Trails Council Scavenger Hunt Saturday through July 6.

Participants of all ages can collect clues at 10 locations along the trail to be entered in drawings for prizes like free ice cream and a gift card to Ila in Fairfield. Drawings for prizes will take place the evening of July 6 at Central Park during Fairfield 1st Fridays.

This event is a great way to get out and see all the trails in Fairfield and Jefferson County have to offer, according to JCTC Chairman Stephen Pedrick.

“We have placed the punches at 10 ‘extreme locations’ along the Loop Trail,” said Pedrick, explaining the Extreme Theme of this year’s scavenger hunt. “From the highest point, to lowest, and many more in between, the hunt is sure to expose you to all areas of the Loop Trail.”

Participants can pick up scavenger hunt punch cards at AJ’s Bicycle Shop, trailhead kiosks, Roosevelt Community Recreation Center and Maharishi University Recreation Center. Completed punch cards should be returned to AJ’s Bicycle Shop.
