JV, freshmen, middle school volleyball scores

The Fairfield JV and freshmen volleyball teams played Keokuk Tuesday at Fairfield High School.

The freshmen team won by the score of 25-19, 25-18.

Kaylee Watson was 13-14 serving with seven aces. Shelby Heston went 7-7 serving and recording four aces.

Paige Buch and Brooke McClain each smacked down two kills. Buch also led the team with seven digs.

Fairfield’s JV team defeated Keokuk 25-17, 25-20.

Alli Deao went 5-5 in serves with three aces. Kelsey Roberts was 6-6 serving the ball and recorded two aces.

Michelle Amendt led the team with four kills. Emma Kuehl had six assists. Jolea Burkhart led the Trojans in digs with six.

The JV team also played at the Bettendorf tournament on Saturday.

The Trojans suffered losses to Dubuque Walhert and Davenport Central. The Trojans defeated Davenport West by the score of 21-15, 19-21, 15-13.

Paris Bickham had nine kills. Deao recorded seven and Delaney Neil hit six kills of her own.

Kuehl led the team in assists with 20. Olivia Wallerich came in second in that category with 14.


7th and 8th grade volleyball results


The Fairfield 8th grade volleyball team had a difficult night in Fort Madison Tuesday.

The A team lost 11-21 and 13-21.Taylor Myers led the team with 19 passes and recorded a kill as well.

The B team also lost in two games with the scores of 6-21, 5-21. Megan Davisson had one kill in the contest.

The C team tied with the scores of 14-21, 21-17. Peyton Manley led the team with four aces. Amanda Carminhato and Macy Holderbaum each had one kill.

The D team tied as well, with the scores of 14-21, 21-18. Abbey Gridley recorded eight aces.

The 7th grade team played Fort Madison on Tuesday as well.

The B team was victorious, but the A, C and D teams weren’t as lucky.

The 7th grade squad’s next game willl be Monday at Burlington Aldo.
