Kiwanis movie series starts Saturday

By Andy Hallman, Ledger news editor | Jun 26, 2018

Fairfield Kiwanis Club is hosting a summer movie series on the lawn south of Pence Elementary School.

Movies will begin at dusk, around 8:30 p.m. Children will receive free Popsicles, and Kiwanis Chuck Wagon will have other concessions.

All donations will benefit the Fairfield Community School District’s summer lunch program.

“Bring a blanket or lawn chair and come support a great asset to our community,” stated a news release from the organization.

Fairfield First Fridays is donating the screen; Fairfield Arts & Convention Center is donating the speakers; and the school district is donating the use of the projector, grounds and licensing.

Kiwanis is not permitted to use the name of the movies in its promotion, but audiences may be able to figure them out by their description.
