What an awesome organization” stated LSB CEO Jill Burnett. Helping Hands is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with the mission of providing durable medical equipment at no cost to residents of Jefferson and Van Buren counties no matter their income. Helping Hands is solely supported by donations and the dedication of volunteers. The organization loans items such as wheel chairs, tub and shower seats, crutches, commodes, hospital beds, walkers and more. In 2017, 461 pieces of equipment were loaned to 320 clients. Those in need of medical equipment or who would like to make a donation, can call 472-3676. Volunteers include: Paul Bates, Terry Bonnett, Ron Fischer, Sue Fischer, Judith Hall, Larry Hall, Don Henderson, Harold Luzadder, Marilyn Mineart, Kenny Nelson, Ron Rominger. Volunteers not pictured: Donna Henderson, Fred Hickenbottom, Renota Chambers. Libertyville Savings Bank employees constantly raise money for various important needs and causes, like Helping Hands.
