Library announces new ‘Four-Wheelers at 4:00’

Jul 27, 2017
The Fairifeld Public Library is starting a new program for senior citizens who use walkers.

Employees at the Fairfield Public Library invite senior citizens who use four-wheel walkers to gather at 4 p.m. Monday through Friday for a stroll inside the library.

Seniors will gather near the front desk and begin walking along the south wall, eventually passing through the youth services department where young children are engaged in activities.

A wide, carpeted walking path circumnavigates the library’s inner walls and windows, providing space for a quiet walk.

After the walk, seniors can stay for a social hour, with puzzles, adult coloring book supplies, SkipBo and Uno card games. Bottled water will be available at centrally located tables.

This August program is free and open to all seniors.

For information, call the Fairfield Public Library at 472-6551.
