Lions plan flea market featuring car show

May 09, 2014

The Fairfield Lions Club’s craft and flea market will feature a car show hosted by Collector Cars Unlimited this year at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.

The flea market will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 17 and 7 a.m. to noon May 18, with the car show set for May 17.

The car show, rain or shine, will get underway with registration from 8 a.m. to noon. Entries will be divided into 12 classes. Entry fee is $5 per vehicle. Judging will be from noon to 2 p.m. Judging will be by participant ballots. The awards ceremony is set for 3:30 p.m.

Car show vehicles should enter the fairgrounds through the west gate — the gate near the Babe Ruth ball. Other traffic should enter the fairgrounds through the main gate and park in the back parking area.
