Maharishi seniors present Winter Extravaganza

Jan 08, 2013
PHOTO SUBMITTED International hip-hop dancer Sky Nite will be part of the Winter Extravagana show organized by Maharishi School seniors.

Maharishi School seniors are organizing a show to raise funds for a school trip to help those who are less fortunate Sunday evening at Maharishi School Assembly Hall.

A full variety of entertainment starring the seniors is planned. Hefei Jiang will play violin. Wei Xi will play flute, and Hongli Liu and Cheng Long will join both of them in Chinese song.

Praman Hamal will play Spanish guitar music. Laser Nite and Raphael Gelfand will be joined by alumni to make the audience laugh with their comedy improv and will join all the senior class of 2013 with song and dance.

Fairfield Entertainer of the Year, Werner Elmker, will play the grand piano, internationally acclaimed Rick Stanley will play the harp, and Tim Britton will play the wooden flute.

Performers also will include Fairfield songbird Jose Overmeyer, opera singer Brandon Hyde, alumni Owen Blake on piano and international hip-hop dancer Sky Nite.

Doors open at 7 p.m. at the Maharishi School Assembly Hall for a silent auction and fresh-baked snacks and drinks.

Valet parking is available for $5 per car from Maharishi School juniors, getting a start on trip fundraising for next year.

The show starts at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are available from Maharishi School seniors, Thymley Solutions, Maharishi University of Management bookstore, the Golden Dome Market and Health and Wholeness. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for students or IA patrons with a badge.
