Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. for free refreshments, and the video starts at 8 p.m. The event is free for ICON members; others are asked for a $2 donation.

Barnard will introduce each of the seven pieces and answer questions after each one.

In the second, Pennsylvania painter/musician Paul Harryn works in nature at Zuma Beach, Joshua Tree and Santa Monica. The video is 13 minutes long.

The third, a 13-minute video called “Interior Forest,” is about Los Angeles artist Alexandra Grant and her community-created art installation.

The fourth video is about Los Angeles painter Yvette Gellis at work in her studio. It is 6 minutes long.

The fifth video is about Ivan Argote and Pauling Batard, a French installation art team, and its complex multipart installation in Santa Monica. It is 11 minutes long.

The sixth is “100 Waves Film.” In the 10-minute video, Michael Barnard discusses the creation of his 50-year collection of sketchbook journals and how he made them into the limited-edition coffee table book “100 Waves — One Surfers Journey into the Green Room.”
