Ned L. ‘Cotton’ Cook

Ned L. “Cotton” Cook, 80, of Milton, died Tuesday, Dec 11, 2012, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Milton Christian Church with the Rev. Bill Shewmaker officiating.

An open visitation will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua with the family present from 5-7 p.m. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton.

Memorials may be made to Sunnyside Cemetery. Memorials and cards may be left at the funeral home, church or mailed to the family at 204 Jacobson St., Bussey 50044.

Mr. Cook was born March 21, 1932, in Keosauqua, the son of Daniel and Lena Wiley Cook. He married Patsy Harl Jan. 28, 1952. She died Nov. 4, 1967.

Survivors include one daughter, Bonnie Courtney and spouse Steve of Bussey; two sons, Richard Cook and spouse Cindy of Burlington, and Tim Cook of Ariz.; one brother, Kenny Cook of Bloomfield; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Maxine Greenfield, Betty Leydens, Mary Hunter and Marjorie Bruccini; and four brothers, William, Larry, Junior and Robert Cook.
