Noah’s Ark seeks foster homes to care for kittens

Jun 27, 2013

Noah’s Ark Animal Foundation is seeking foster homes to provide temporary care for kittens until they ready to be spayed, neutered and adopted into loving homes.

Noah’s Ark officials explained by playing and snuggling with the kittens, foster families provide important socialization to ready the babies for their new lives.

Kittens typically stay in foster homes two to six weeks.

The foster home must have a separate room for the kittens to limit the possibility of disease transmission to and from household pets; a laundry room, mud room or bathroom works well. The foster kittens are to be kept inside.

Foster families must be willing to spend time playing with kittens every day in addition to feeding, cleaning and transporting them to veterinary clinic appointments.

Fostering kittens is an ongoing, flexible opportunity. To volunteer or for more information, call Noah’s Ark at 472-6080 or visit the website www.noahsark.org.

Noah’s Ark officials will make a home visit before accepting a volunteer into the foster home program.
