Pearl ‘Izetta’ Keasling

Pearl “Izetta” Keasling, 94, of Eldon, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, at her home.

The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Cranston Family Funeral Home in Eldon. Burial will be in Eldon Cemetery.

As were her wishes, no visitation is planned.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to Eldon Public Library.

Mrs. Keasling was born Aug. 31, 1922, in Eldon, the daughter of Pearl and Mary “Miller” Hart. She married Richard Keasling Oct. 11, 1941.

She grew up and attended school in Eldon, graduating with the Eldon High School Class of 1939.

Mrs. Keasling was employed at Hermann’s Greenhouse and Nursery for many years before her retirement in 1984.

She was a member of the former Baptist Church in Eldon, where she was active as a deaconess and taught Sunday school for many years.

Survivors include: one son, Brian Keasling of Eldon; three sisters, Margie Carter, Marilyn Wells, and Shirley Flaherty; 13 grandchildren, as well as many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; one daughter, Mary Margaret Slagle; two sons, Richard Wayne Keasling and Paul Edward Keasling; two brothers, Paul and Richard Hart; and three sisters, Doris Brooks, Marie Hurley, and Betty Wright.
