Phil Miller represents us

By David Sands | Aug 03, 2017

To the editor:

Veterinarian and Fairfield School Board President Phil Miller is the one candidate in the upcoming special election for State Representative of the 82nd District who truly represents the people of the district.

He has deep connections with the different constituencies of the district — farmers, parents, pet owners, the business community and workers. In his role as president of the board of the Fairfield School District, Phil has demonstrated his ability to listen to divergent opinions and appreciate differing needs.

He has handled numerous sensitive issues evenhandedly while working toward common sense solutions.

As a hardworking veterinarian, he has shown his deep regard for people and their animals, earning trust and respect throughout the community for his knowledge, skill and professionalism. He has also shown that his sense of fairness applies to the employees of his veterinary business.

He is a man that we can count on to listen to our needs and concerns, and to act for the well-being of his constituents, rather than to fulfill the demands of a national political party and corporate interests. I urge everyone, regardless of political affiliation, to vote in this Aug. 8 special election.
