Police Report

The Fairfield Police Department reports the following incidents logged into dispatch:

 

Police

Wednesday

12:27 a.m.: A caller reported his vehicle was stolen. The caller then advised that he forgot his car was around the corner.

2:57 a.m.: Loud music was reported in the 1100 block of West Adams Court. Officers were unable to locate the music.

4:45 a.m.: A citizen reported harassment at the Fairfield Walmart on West Burlington Avenue.

8:44 a.m.: Suspicious activity was reported. Someone had handed out a pill bottle full of liquid. The label stated it was H2O, blueberry vitamin H2O, and mineral and Vitamin H2O. The note stated it was a health drink. The item was properly disposed of.

9:13 a.m.: An abandoned vehicle was reported in the Mike & Nikki’s restaurant parking lot on South Main Street.

9:39 a.m.: A vehicle was stopped for speeding at Harrison Apartments. A verbal warning was issued.

9:46 a.m.: Officers investigated two reports of shoplifting at the Fairfield Walmart on West Burlington Avenue.

10:08 a.m.: A vehicle was stopped for speeding at F Street and Kirkwood Avenue. A verbal warning was issued.

10:10 a.m.: Officers were notified of forgery/counterfeit at Logli’s and Fairfield Hy-Vee Food Store.

10:29 a.m.: A vehicle was stopped for failure to come to a complete stop at a stop sign at Sixth Street and Madison Avenue. A verbal warning was issued.

11:43 a.m.: A citizen reported harassment in the 1100 block of West Adams Court.

12:13 p.m.: A citizen requested extra patrol in the 2900 block of West Adams Avenue.

12:25 p.m.: A vehicle accident was reported at The Pizza Ranch parking lot.

2:03 p.m.: A citizen misdialed 911. An officer checked on the person and found everything OK.

2:14 p.m.: A citizen reported an animal at Leasure Living.

3:06 p.m.: A vehicle was stopped for unsafe passing. A verbal warning was issued.

3:15 p.m.: A vehicle was towed from the 300 block of South Second Street for extended parking.

3:52: A citizen requested extra patrol in the 800 block of North Ninth Street.

4:01 p.m.: Police were called to the Fairfield High School.

4:20 p.m.: A citizen reported a theft in the 1100 block of South Third Street

5:52 p.m.: A complaint was received about parking at Palmer Muffler Shop on North Fourth Street.

6:59 p.m.: A complaint was received about parking at McDonald’s Restaurant on West Burlington Avenue.

7:14 p.m.: A car struck a deer in the 600 block of South Main Street. Damage was less than $1,500.

7:25 p.m.: A verbal warning was given for headlights not on.

8:37 p.m.: DCS 8th Judicial, Mt. Pleasant, requested assistance.

9:02 p.m.: A citizen reported a violation of a no-contact order in the 900 block of West Tyler Avenue.

9:16 p.m.: Police were called to Dexter Laundry on West Grimes Avenue for a family matter.

10:25 p.m.: A verbal warning was issued for no headlight on a bicycle.

10:58 p.m.: A citizen reported possible gunshots in the 300 block of South 12th Street. Officers did not locate anything in the area.

11:06 p.m.: A citizen reported an animal at Grimes and Brookville.

11:33 p.m.: A citizen called to say the weather was bad.

 

Thursday

1:37 a.m.: An officer performed a building check at Drish Construction. A suspicious vehicle was there.

1:57 a.m.: An officer checked the door at Fairfield Golf & Country Club.

2:11 a.m.: An officer performed a building check at the Roosevelt Community Recreation Center.

3:38 a.m.: Police responded to a report of trespassing at Super 8.

4:36 a.m.: An officer performed a building check on the Fairfield square.

5:22 a.m.: A possible gas leak was reported in the 2900 block of West Grimes Avenue.
