The Fairfield Police Department reports the following logged at Dispatch:

 

Friday

2:50 a.m. — Suspicious activity was reported at Waterworks Park.

11:29 a.m. — A verbal warning for a traffic violation was issue in the 900 block of South Fifth.

11:44 a.m. — A verbal warning for a traffic violation was issued at Main and Kirkwood.

12:52 p.m. — A traffic accident resulting in property damage was reported in front of Iowa State Bank.

1:46 p.m. — A verbal warning for a traffic violation was issued in the 100 block of North Second.

2:29 p.m. — A maltese-type dog was found around Madison between Second and Third streets and taken to Fairfield Veterinary Clinic.

3:02 p.m. — Police assisted with a disabled vehicle on Highway 34 Exit 212 East.

4:07 p.m. — Harassment issues were reported in the 1107 block of South Fifth.

4:09 p.m. — Extra patrol was requested in the 200 block of North 28th.

7:52 p.m. — A verbal warning for passing on the right at Second and Burlington was issued at Third and Burlington.

8:44 p.m. — A controlled substance was reported in the 100 block of North Court.

8:58 p.m. — Larceny theft was reported in the 200 block of East Pierce.

9:43 p.m. — Zaya N. Garner was cited for expired plates at Seventh and Taylor.

10:47 p.m. — An attempted burglary was reported in the 500 block of South Seventh.

11:03 p.m. — Police assisted Fairfield Fire Department at a fire in the 1500 block of Southview Circle.

11:26 p.m. — Suspicious activity was seen at Seventh and Jackson.

11:59 p.m. — Police provided warrant service in the 300 block of North 10th.

 

Saturday

12:04 a.m. — A verbal warning for no plates was issued at Ninth and Grimes.

12:17 a.m. — Suspicious activity was seen at Main and Washington.

12:48 a.m. — Police were asked to perform a welfare check in the 200 block of East Burlington. A verbal domestic disturbance was reported.

1:40 a.m. — A Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad crossing arm was malfunctioning on one side of the crossing at Court Street.

3 a.m. — Bad weather was reported.

7:53 a.m. — Police assisted Midwest Ambulance in the 2000 block of Ruby Lane.

8:23 a.m. — A driver was unable to stop at Badgett and Granville, slid through the intersection and struck a tree.

11:48 a.m. — Traffic violations were reported on Highway 1 North.

4:47 p.m. — Loose dogs were reported in the 400 block of West Lowe.

5:59 p.m. — Bad weather was reported.

6:59 p.m. — A violation of a no-contact order was reported in the 3000 block of Adams Lane.

7:34 p.m. — Parking issues were reported in the 200 block of West Broadway.

7:34 p.m. — Police assisted Fairfield Fire Department. A transformer was on fire at Van Buren and 33rd.

11:04 p.m. — Bad weather was reported.

 

Sunday

12:45 a.m. — Loud music was reported in the 100 block of North 16th.

1:24 a.m. — Suspicious activity was reported in the 400 block of West Burlington. Police unlocked the restroom door and told the person she needed to leave because the business was closing.

2:23 a.m. — Suspicious activity was seen in the 800 block of West Tyler.

5:04 a.m. — A verbal warning for failure to dim headlights was issued at Second and Lowe.

5:28 a.m. — An intoxicated person was reported in the 1600 block of West Burlington.

8:04 a.m. — Warrant service was performed in the 3000 block of West Burlington.

8:08 a.m. — Warrant service was performed in the 2200 block West Burlington.

8:55 a.m. — A complaint was received about parking in the 600 block of North Court.

9:44 a.m. — A subject was acting out in the 1300 block of West Burlington.

10:20 a.m. — A subject was acting out in the 1200 block of West Burlington.

12:01 p.m. — Harassment issues were reported in the 100 block of East Burlington.

1:10 p.m. — Katheryn Kay Copeland, 54, of Fairfield, was cited for failure to prove security against liability (non-accident related) and driving while suspended, revoked, canceled or denied in the 800 block of West Burlington.

1:59 p.m. — A verbal warning for a traffic violation was issued at Seventh and Jefferson.

2:19 p.m. — Police assisted with lifting a motorcycle in the 1000 block of Grandpark Drive.

3:36 p.m. — Evelyn Maria Burgos, 30, of Fairfield, was arrested in the 100 block of West Madison on a warrant for assault (simple).

5:29 p.m. — Police investigated a report of shots fired in the 800 block of West Burlington.

6:32 p.m. — Kirstin Leigh Garmon, 19, of Ottumwa, was arrested in the 2700 block of West Burlington and charged with fifth-degree theft.

7:10 p.m. — Suspicious activity was reported in the 1000 block of West Burlington.

8:15 p.m. — A noise complaint was reported in the 1200 block of South Main.

8:59 p.m. — Police investigated a theft in the 100 block of Sunset Drive.

9:21 p.m. — A barking dog was reported in the 600 block of West Jackson.
