The Fairfield Police Department reports the following logged at Dispatch:

 

Monday

2:48 p.m. — A hit-and-run was reported at the Jefferson County Courthouse.

3:40 p.m. — Assault was investigated in the 2200 block of Highway 34.

6:24 p.m. — A civil dispute was reported in the 900 block of East Harrison.

6:53 p.m. — A utilities hazard was reported in the 900 block of South Main.

7:02 p.m. — Phone harassment was reported in the 800 block of South Third.

7:38 p.m. — A verbal warning for no passenger-side brake light was issued on Briggs.

8:29 p.m. — A verbal warning for no passenger-side head light was issued at Fourth and Broadway.

8:51 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued for a driver-side taillight outage at Fourth and Burlington.

8:59 p.m. — Harassment was reported in the 800 block of West Grimes.

9:32 p.m. — Theft from a vehicle was investigated in the 300 block of West Kirkwood.

11:05 p.m. — Subjects were advised of park hours at Reservoir No. 2.

 

Tuesday

1:58 a.m. — Police assisted with adult probation in the 300 block of West Washington.

2:04 a.m. — Police assisted with adult probation in the 700 block of South Second.

2:15 a.m. — Police assisted with an adult probation check in the 200 block of West Broadway.

2:23 a.m. — Police assisted with an adult probation check in the 500 block of West Depot.

5:36 a.m. — A utilities hazard was reported at Adams and Maple.

7 a.m. — An animal concern was reported in the 2900 block of West Grimes.

9:36 a.m. — A burglary/breaking and entering was investigated in the 2200 block of West Burlington.

10:55 a.m. — A hit-and-run accident was reported in the 50 block of West Briggs.

1:14 p.m. — Cayne Kerby, 25, of Fairfield, was arrested at the Jefferson County Law Center on a warrant for fifth-degree theft.

2:48 p.m. — An abandoned vehicle was reported in the 400 block of East Adams.

4:33 p.m. — A disturbance of the peace was reported in the 300 block of West Broadway.

4:50 p.m. — Theft was investigated in the 400 block of West Broadway.

6:44 p.m. — Criminal mischief was investigated in the 700 block of South Fourth.

6:58 p.m. — An alarm sounded in the 100 block of North Main. Everything was OK.

7:54 p.m. — A verbal warning for expired registration was issued at Madison and D. The registered owner had not attached the current sticker.

8:15 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued for no passenger-side brake light at Jackson and Third.

8:54 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued for failure to obey stop sign at Sixth and Jackson.

9:05 p.m. — Suspicious activity was reported at Second and Main.

9:13 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued for a passenger-side headlight outage in the 600 block of South Main.

9:24 p.m. — A noise complaint was reported at Second and Jackson.

10:47 p.m. — A vehicle driven by Jacob Bruce Fett, 39, of Hillsboro, was stopped for an improper driver-side brake light cover at Ninth and Hempstead. He was cited for failure to prove security against liability (non-accident related).

11:35 p.m. — A vehicle driven by Brian Lee Box, 36, of Ottumwa was stopped for no driver-side brake light at Kirkwood and Fourth. A verbal warning was issued for the brake light. A citation was issued for failure to prove security against liability (non-accident related).

 

Wednesday

Midnight — Police assisted a motorist with directions to a destination in the 1700 block of West Burlington.

12:18 a.m. — Loud music was reported in the 900 block of South Sixth.

12:34 a.m. — A verbal warning was issued for a passenger-side headlight outage in the 800 block of South Third.

12:36 a.m. — A verbal warning was issued for no plate light at Ninth and Jefferson.

12:57 a.m. — Police checked the Fairfield High School.

1:46 a.m. — Suspicious activity was reported in the 500 block of South Fifth.

2:02 a.m. — Police checked the Great Prairie Area Education Agency building.

2:06 a.m. — Police checked the Signs and Designs building.

2:09 a.m. — Police checked the Elite Tire & Auto Center building.

2:11 a.m. — Police checked the Copperfield Chimney Supply building.

2:14 a.m. — Police checked the Fairfield Golf & Country Club building. Everything was OK.

2:34 a.m. — Police checked the Foursquare Gospel Church.

2:55 a.m. — Police checked the Aeron Lifestyle Technology building.

2:59 a.m. — Police checked the Department of Human Services building.
