The Fairfield Police Department reports the following logged at Dispatch:

 

Monday

4:22 p.m. — A parking complaint was reported in the 300 block of West Briggs.

4:54 p.m. — Police investigated an attempted burglary at the storage units near Casey’s on Libertyville Road.

7:30 p.m. — An animal concern was reported in the 900 block of South Sixth.

8:34 p.m. — A verbal warning for a nonworking driver-side brakelight was issued at B and Lowe.

8:49 p.m. — A traffic accident was reported at Main and Jefferson. A deer ran out and struck the front passenger-side causing minor damage.

9:24 p.m. — Police investigated theft - shoplifting in the 2700 block of West Burlington. At 9:40 p.m., John Thomas Layton, 26, of Ottumwa, was arrested and charged with third-degree theft. At 9:40 p.m., Eric Wayne Baxter, 35, of Ottumwa, was arrested and charged with third-degree theft.

11:42 p.m. — Police investigated an assault in the 600 block of West Monroe.

 

Tuesday

1:31 a.m. — A verbal warning for a traffic violation was issued at Fairview and Harrison.

4:46 a.m. — Loud music was reported in the 1100 block of West Adams Court.

9:16 a.m. — Police investigated vandalism reported in the 800 block of West Adams.

12:59 p.m. — A vehicle was towed by Mike’s Towing & Recovery from downtown near the 100 block of North Court.

1:12 p.m. — Warrant service was provided in the 700 block of West Grimes.

1:24 p.m. — A complaint about parking in the 200 block of East Burlington was received. A black SUV was blocking the alley.

1:29 p.m. — Warrant service was provided in the 1200 block of South Main.

1:35 p.m. — A complaint about parking in the 600 block of North Court was received.

2:12 p.m. — Joshua Brown, 33, of Fairfield, was arrested on two warrants from the Fairfield Police Department in the 800 block of West Tyler. The warrants were for possession of controlled substance - first offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.

2:30 p.m. — Police assisted with a disabled vehicle on North 23rd.

3:23 p.m. — A utilities hazard was reported at Morgan and Hempstead.

3:50 p.m. — A dangerous driver was reported in the 400 block of West Fillmore.

4:03 p.m. — Harassment was reported in the 300 block of West Briggs.

4:35 p.m. — Fraud was reported in the 600 block of South Maple.

4:41 p.m. — Extra patrol was requested in the 3300 block of West Van Buren.

5:37 p.m. — A warrant for failure to appear was served at Jefferson County Jail.

5:43 p.m. — Extra patrol was requested in the 300 block of West Briggs.

6:56 p.m. — A complaint about parking in the 400 block of West Burlington was received. The tire was marked to determine if it moves.

7:42 p.m. — A complaint about parking in the 200 block of East Burlington was received.

8:20 p.m. — Traffic violations were reported at Hempstead and Fifth.

8:24 p.m. — Assault was investigated in the 300 block of East Lowe.

10:21 p.m. — A verbal warning for a traffic violation was issued at Sixth and Madison.

 

Wednesday

2:21 p.m. — Loud music was reported in the 1100 block of West Adams Court.
