Police Report

The Fairfield Police Department reports the following logged at Dispatch:

 

Thursday

7:27 a.m. — Police assisted a motorist whose vehicle ran out of gas at Ninth and Burlington.

7:54 a.m. — Police investigated offenses in the 2700 block of West Briggs.

8:28 a.m. — A hit-and-run traffic accident was reported in the 2000 block of Pearl Lane.

9:34 a.m. — A funeral escort was requested.

9:51 a.m. — A verbal warning for a broken taillight was issued at Third and Briggs.

10:10 a.m. — A vehicle was stopped at 12th and Jefferson because the trailer it was pulling had no plates or lights. The driver had just purchased the trailer from a private seller.

11:26 a.m. — A verbal warning was issued at Seventh and Jackson for a “slow-and-go” at Seventh and Jefferson.

11:38 a.m. — A parking concern at Court and Hempstead was reported. An SUV had been blocking a fire hydrant for several hours. The driver was cited for parking blocking the fire hydrant and was given an hour to move the vehicle. The vehicle was moved when it was checked on later.

11:48 a.m. — A civil dispute was reported in the 200 block of East Fillmore.

11:58 a.m. — A verbal warning was issued at Sixth and Jackson for a “slow-and-go” at Seventh and Jefferson. A written warning was issued for insurance. The driver was given a week to prove the vehicle is covered, if not, she was advised she would be cited for insurance.

11:58 a.m. — Police investigated criminal mischief reported in the 1300 block of West Burlington.

12:14 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued at Sixth and Jefferson for a “slow-and-go” at Seventh and Jefferson.

2:30 p.m. — A verbal warning for no plates or registration was issued on Highway 1 on the Maharishi University of Management.

2:42 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued at Sixth and Jefferson for a “slow-and-go” at Seventh and Jefferson.

2:50 p.m. — A verbal warning for no front plate was issued at 23rd and Grimes.

3:07 p.m. — A two-vehicle accident was reported on Dr. Robert Keith Wallace Drive on the Maharishi University of Management campus. The drivers exchanged insurance information.

7:15 p.m. — Loud music was reported in the 200 block of East Pierce.

7:16 p.m. — Suspicious activity was reported in the 900 block of West Hempstead.

7:22 p.m. — A disturbance was reported in the 300 block of North C.

7:40 p.m. — Police investigated criminal mischief/vandalism in the 400 block of North F.

8:42 p.m. — Suspicious activity was reported at Fairfield Little League.

 

Friday

12:24 a.m. — Suspicious activity was reported in the 200 block of South 15th.

1:51 a.m. — A verbal warning for a traffic violation was issued at the Highway 34 exit 212 eastbound on-ramp.

4:11 a.m. — An officer checked buildings around the Fairfield square.

4:36 a.m. — An officer checked a building in the 900 block of East Harrison.
