Fairfield Police Department reports the following logged at Dispatch:

 

Friday

12:28 a.m. — A report of a barking dog in the 1600 block of Dogwood was received.

2:21 a.m. — Police checked the Sinclair Tractor building.

4:37 a.m. — Police investigated theft in the 1000 block of South Main.

5:32 a.m. — A suspicious item was found in the parking lot in the 600 block of West Monroe.

7:33 a.m. — A verbal warning for expired registration was issued in the 2200 block of Highway 34. The driver had the current sticker inside the vehicle.

7:39 a.m. — Police assisted the sheriff’s office at Fifth and Grimes.

7:41 a.m. — Extra patrol was requested in the 500 block of West Adams.

8:31 a.m. — Police investigated drugs-narcotic violations in the 500 block of West Depot.

9:27 p.m. — A funeral escort was requested.

9:29 a.m. — Police investigated theft in the 200 block of West Washington.

10:50 a.m. — A traffic accident was reported at 12th and Burlington.

12:24 p.m. — Police arrested a subject on a warrant in the 200 block of West Washington.

1:20 p.m. — Police signed for a dog at the Fairfield Veterinary Clinic PC.

1:37 p.m. — A juvenile was arrested in the 200 block of West Washington and charged with interference with official acts.

1:47 p.m. — Larceny theft was reported in the 2300 block of West Burlington.

2:51 p.m. — Assault was investigated in the 600 block of East Broadway.

3:26 p.m. — Police investigated theft in the 2700 block of West Burlington. At 3:47 p.m., Michelle Renee Vanness, 44, of Brighton, was arrested and charged with fifth-degree theft. At 3:47 p.m., Todd Christopher Brown, 52, of Fairfield, was arrested and charged with fifth-degree theft.

4:11 p.m. — Burglary was reported in the 400 block of West Hempstead.

5:32 p.m. — Larceny theft was reported at a rental storage unit.

6:14 p.m. — A traffic accident was reported at Main and Fillmore.

6:17 p.m. — A report of a couple having sex in a car parked in a parking lot in the 100 block of West Adams was reported.

6:31 p.m. — A domestic dispute was reported in the 200 block of East Buchanan.

8:21 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued at Washington and Sixth for no headlight or taillights.

8:24 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued at Fourth and Briggs for a headlight issue.

9:11 p.m. — Police provided assistance at Jefferson County Jail.

9:24 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued in the 700 block of West Burlington for running a red light at Ninth and Burlington.

 

Saturday

12:01 a.m. — Caleb Whitney Kruse, 33, of Fairfield, was cited in the 900 block of West Jefferson for driving while suspended, revoked, canceled or denied and for failure to obey a stop or yield sign.

12:31 a.m. — Police assisted the sheriff’s office south of Ash Boulevard in Batavia.

1:16 a.m. — Police assisted a motorist on Liberty Drive.

4:17 a.m. — Suspicious activity was reported in the 700 block of North Third.

4:28 a.m. — Bad weather was reported.

5:24 p.m. — Bad weather was reported.

7:25 a.m. — Assault was reported in the 200 block of West Burlington.

7:40 a.m. — A municipal infraction for a stop sign violation at Sixth and Madison was issued at Ninth and Jefferson.

7:58 a.m. — Police assisted a disabled vehicle in the 1300 block of Liberty Drive.

9:39 a.m. — Police investigated theft in the 500 block of East Madison.

10:26 a.m. — Fraud was reported in the 2400 block of West Burlington.

12:25 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued at Sixth and Adams for a passenger-side brake light outage.

12:43 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued at Kirkwood and Main for improper display of registration.

12:51 p.m. — A municipal infraction was issued in the 300 block of West Burlington for no valid driver’s license.
