Fairfield Police Department reports the following logged at Dispatch:

 

Friday

12:03 a.m. — A business alarm sounded in the 300 block of South 20th. The building was secure.

12:20 a.m. — Miscellaneous complaints were made in the 1100 block of South Fifth.

12:36 a.m. — A vehicle was stopped at Sixth and Burlington for failure to stop at a flashing red light. The driver admitted to drinking. The driver had a 3 on HGN. The driver agreed to a PBT to make sure he wasn’t over the limit. The driver blew 0.07 BAC percent. A verbal warning was issued for the failure to stop.

1:44 a.m. — Police checked Pence Elementary School.

1:51 a.m. — Police checked Fairfield Middle School.

1:52 a.m. — Vagrancy panhandling was reported near Main and Fillmore.

2:35 a.m. — Public fighting was reported in the 300 block of Wilson. When officers arrived, the victim stated he fell down the stairs and wasn’t in a fight.

3:03 a.m. — Disturbing the peace was reported in the 50 block of North Third.

3:05 a.m. — A barking dog was reported in the 500 block of West Kirkwood.

5:10 a.m. — A road closing on Orange Boulevard was reported.

6:13 a.m. — Police investigated theft - shoplifting in the 2700 block of West Burlington. At 6:23 a.m., Judith Kay Aplara, 62, of Lockridge, was arrested and charged with fifth-degree theft.

7:03 a.m. — A verbal warning for a traffic violation was issued at F and Kirkwood.

7:12 a.m. — A hit-and-run was reported in the 1000 block of West Burlington.

8:57 a.m. — A loose dog was reported in the 100 block of South 17th.

8:59 a.m. — Police took a criminal mischief complaint in the 200 block of West Washington.

10:46 a.m. — Police assisted the ambulance in the 200 block of North 28th.

10:57 a.m. — Police investigated a theft from a motor vehicle in the 50 block of North 11th.

12:53 p.m. — Police assisted the sheriff’s office in the 2300 block of Hemlock. Nick Russel was arrested on a warrant.

3:06 p.m. — Police investigated simple assault in the 200 block of East Buchanan.

3:37 p.m. — Trenton Wade Dunbar, 21, was arrested for a probation violation warrant.

5:17 p.m. — A verbal warning for speed was issued in the 2200 block of US Highway 34.

6:28 p.m. — A citizen reported traffic violations.

7:02 p.m. — A domestic disturbance of a verbal argument was reported in the 300 block of West Washington.

8:51 p.m. — Loud music was reported in the 300 block of West Washington.

9:04 p.m. — A verbal warning for a broken headlight was issued at Maple and Burlington.

9:29 p.m. — Controlled substance and arguing was reported in the 600 block of West Monroe.

10 p.m. — An erratic driver was reported in the southwest part of town near the 300 block of North 16 and behind the 2700 block of West Burlington.

10:49 p.m. — Police provided warrant service in the 900 block of West Grimes.

11:05 p.m. — Police provided warrant service in the 300 block of West Broadway.

11:13 p.m. — Police provided warrant service in the 400 block of West Stone.

11:24 p.m. — Suspicious activity was reported on Lowe, near the 500 block of North Second.

11:59 p.m. — A verbal warning for a broken license plate light was issued on the square.
