Police Report

May 31, 2018

The Fairfield Police Department reports the following logged at Dispatch:

 

Wednesday

7:12 a.m. — A verbal warning for expired registration was issued at Fourth and Carpenter.

8:08 a.m. — A municipal infraction citation for non-registered vehicle was issued in the 2700 block of West Burlington.

9:03 a.m. — Police investigated a weapons law violation in the 600 block of East Broadway.

10:39 a.m. — A bicyclist was struck by a backing vehicle in the 800 block of South Second.

11 a.m. — The law center was alerted that a person was entering a confined space at the Fairfield Waste Water Treatment Plant.

11:10 a.m. — Theft was investigated in the 400 block of West Depot.

11:59 a.m. — A business was contacted about trespassing in the 2100 block of West Burlington.

12:14 p.m. — An animal concern was reported at D and Hempstead. A pit bull got loose and the owner was chasing it down. A neighbor was able to catch the dog.

12:36 p.m. — Theft was investigated in the 400 block of West Burlington.

12:39 p.m. — A verbal warning for a traffic violation was issued at Ninth and Kirkwood.

1:13 p.m. — Police assisted a driver westbound on Highway 34 at mile marker 223.

1:49 p.m. — A road closing was reported: Washington between Main and Court.

2:15 p.m. — Dogs were reported inside a truck parked in the 2700 block of West Burlington. All windows were open, and it was not hot inside the truck. The dogs were energetic and healthy.

2:36 p.m. — A dangerous driver was reported in the 100 block of South Sixth.

4:21 p.m. — A vehicle accident was reported in the 600 block of Hillside Drive.

4:45 p.m. — A traffic accident was reported in the 700 block of West Burlington. Damaged was estimated to be less than $1,500. The parties exchanged insurance information.

5:11 p.m. — Larceny theft was reported in the 200 block of North 28th. A mailbox was jammed shut because someone put a wire in the lockport in an attempt to open it.

5:18 p.m. — A traffic acident was reported in the 800 block of West Burlington. The Fairfield Fire Department used Jaws of Life extraction equipment to pop open a vehicle door, and oil dry to clean up leaked fluids.

5:26 p.m. — Disorderly conduct was reported in the 700 block of South Sixth.

8:19 p.m. — An animal concern was reported in the 700 block of West Kirkwood.

9:10 p.m. — An animal concern was reported on the Maharishi University of Management campus.

11:37 p.m. — Police provided warrant service in the 600 block of West Monroe.

11:44 p.m. — Police provided warrant service in the 300 block of East Hempstead.

11:52 p.m. — Police provided warrant service in the 300 block of West Broadway.

11:58 p.m. — A dangerous driver was reported in the 1300 block of West Burlington.

 

Thursday

12:13 a.m. — Police provided warrant service in the 800 block of South Fourth.

12:20 p.m. — Police provided warrant service in the 300 block of Wilson.

1:48 a.m. — Loud music was reported in the 1100 block of West Adams Court.

5 a.m. — A domestic disturbance was reported in the 200 block of East Buchanan Avenue.

5:32 a.m. — Police provided assistance to Behner Funeral Home.
