The Fairfield Police Department reports the following logged at Dispatch:

 

Saturday

1:50 a.m. — Suspicious activity was reported in the 300 block of South 17th.

8:02 a.m. — A verbal warning for crossing the centerline at Main and Jefferson was issued at Main and Adams.

8:03 a.m. — A municipal infraction was issued for speeding near Iowa State Bank.

8:08 a.m. — Police assisted Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office on a warrant from Henry County.

8:41 a.m. — A funeral escort was requested at First United Methodist Church.

8:42 a.m. — Suspicious behavior was reported in the 300 block of East Burlington.

9:13 a.m. — Police were asked to check on the welfare of an animal in the 1700 block of West Burlington.

9:22 a.m. — Police assisted the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at a vehicle accident on Highway 34, Exit 214, westbound.

9:50 a.m. — A civil dispute was reported in the 600 block of South Fourth.

10:43 a.m. — A verbal argument was reported in the 700 block of West Grimes.

3:25 p.m. — A verbal warning for no plates was issued at Main and Washington.

4:35 p.m. — Police investigated theft from a motor vehicle in the 300 block of West Washington.

4:51 p.m. — Police were asked to keep the peace in the 500 block of South 15th.

6:44 p.m. — A parking concern in the 500 block of West Jefferson was reported.

7:34 p.m. — Disturbing the peace was reported in the 1300 block of Liberty Drive.

10:16 p.m. — Harassment was reported in the 200 block of East Jefferson.

10:34 p.m. — Drugs-narcotic violations were investigated in the 400 block of East Kirkwood.

10:36 p.m. — Suspicious activity was reported in the 3000 block of West Grimes.

11:05 p.m. — Suspicious activity was reported in the 400 block of West Broadway. Subjects were looking for their lost cat.

11:19 p.m. — Police investigated drugs-narcotic violations and drugs-equipment violation at Fifth and Grimes. At 11:40 p.m., Michael Anthony Flournoy, 18, of Fairfield, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

11:53 p.m. — An object was reported in the road in the 700 block of South Sixth.

11:55 p.m. — A business alarm sounded in the 500 block of North Fourth.

 

Sunday

1:59 a.m. — An officer provided warrant service in the 300 block of West Broadway.

2:05 a.m. — An officer provided warrant service in the 500 block of West Adams.

2:12 a.m. — An officer provided warrant service in the 800 block of West Fourth.

2:13 a.m. — A car alarm was reported. Police investigated burglary/breaking and entering in the 1000 block of East Harrison.

2:23 a.m. — An officer provided warrant service in the 200 block of East Buchanan.

6:44 a.m. — An officer checked on a suspicious vehicle in the 300 block of North 16th. Everything was OK.

7:21 a.m. — A municipal infraction citation for speeding was issued at Fourth and Merrill.

8:34 a.m. — A verbal warning for speeding was issued in the 1000 block of North Fourth.

9 a.m. — A business alarm sounded in the 2300 block of West Burlington. Police were advised to disregard before arriving.

9:26 a.m. — A verbal warning for speeding was issued at Second and Lowe.

9:48 a.m. — Police investigated burglary/breaking and entering in the 700 block of South Third.

11:24 a.m. — A municipal infraction citation for speeding was issued at 14th and Burlington.

11:43 a.m. — A verbal warning for passing contrary to highway markings at Burlington and Second was issued at Second and Lowe.

11:45 a.m. — Noah Nicholas Loin, 32, of Fairfield, was cited for failure to obey stop or yield sign at Little Fawn and Grand Park.

12:01 p.m. — A motor vehicle theft was reported on South 17th Street.
