The Fairfield Police Department reports the following logged at Dispatch:

 

Saturday

7:38 p.m. — A verbal warning for speeding was issued at B and Waterworks.

7:45 p.m. — An animal concern was reported in the 300 block of East Lowe.

9:16 p.m. — Disturbing the peace was reported at Fourth and Madison.

9:24 p.m. — Disturbing the peace was reported in the 200 block of East Buchanan. Fireworks were being discharged.

9:38 p.m. — A verbal warning for no taillights was issued at Iowa Avenue and Main Street.

9:59 p.m. — A bicycle was found in the 1300 block of West Burlington.

10:16 p.m. — Robert Erhard Cupp, 20, of Batavia, was cited in the 2700 block of West Burlington for failure to prove security against liability (accident related). A verbal warning for no taillights was issued also.

10:44 p.m. — Police checked Waterworks Park after park hours.

10:52 p.m. — Police checked Waterworks Park after park hours.

11 p.m. — Police checked Waterworks Park after park hours.

11:26 p.m. — A verbal warning for no taillights was issued at 32nd and Tyler.

11:26 p.m. — Criminal mischief/vandalism was reported in the 200 block of East Buchanan.

11:45 p.m. — Disturbing the peace was reported in the 600 block of West Monroe.

 

Sunday

Midnight — Police provided warrant service in the 300 block of Wilson.

12:10 a.m. — Police assisted with adult probation in the 700 block of South Second.

1:21 a.m. — Police assisted with adult probation in the 300 block of East Lowe.

1:27 a.m. — Police assisted with adult probation in the 1100 block of West Spaulding.

1:33 a.m. — Police assisted with adult probation in the 600 block of West Stone.

1:40 a.m. — Police assisted with adult probation in the 800 block of West Hempstead.

1:47 a.m. — Police assisted with adult probation in the 500 block of West Adams.

2:44 a.m. — An attempted burglary was reported in the 1100 block of South Second.

3:48 a.m. — Police investigated an assault in the 300 block of South 14th.

3:53 a.m. — Disturbing the peace was reported. Fireworks were being discharged at Seventh and Jefferson.

4:10 a.m. — Police assisted the sheriff’s office in the 1900 block of Parkwood Drive.

8:30 a.m. — A verbal warning for speeding was issued in the 1300 block of West Burlington.

10:35 a.m. — A verbal warning for running a red light at Sixth and Burlington was issued in the 1100 block of West Burlington.

10:47 a.m. — A verbal warning for no plates was issued in the 300 block of West Burlington. The subject had just bought the vehicle and had the title.

11:48 a.m. — A verbal warning for a broken taillight was issued at Second and Briggs.

Noon — A vehicle was reported stolen in the 300 block of East Lowe. At 12:59 p.m., the vehicle was recovered at Sixth and Jefferson, and no further investigation was needed per the registered owner.

12:19 p.m. — Disorderly conduct was reported in the 2200 block of West Burlington.

4:01 p.m. — Extra patrol was requested in the 300 block of East Monroe.

4:27 p.m. — Police investigated a theft in the 2100 block of Libertyville Road. An older white or silver Chevy Impala drove away without paying for gas.

4:54 p.m. — Police assisted the Iowa State Patrol at mile maker 213, eastbound, Highway 34.

7:30 p.m. — Disturbing the peace was reported at Main and Harrison.

7:36 p.m. — Disturbing the peace was reported at D and Jackson.

8:32 p.m. — Disturbing the peace was reported at Fifth and Harrison.

9:15 p.m. — Harassment was reported at Second and Madison.

 

Monday

7:06 a.m. — A citizen called requesting substance abuse resources.

7:17 a.m. — Police investigated assault in the 50 block of West Burlington.

7:55 a.m. — Police investigated theft in the 1000 block of South Main.

8:51 a.m. — A parking concern was reported in the 100 block of North Court.

10:29 a.m. — A verbal warning for a driver-side brake light outage was issued at Grimes and Eighth.

10:39 a.m. — An accident was reported in the 700 block of South Second.

12:15 p.m. — A utilities hazard was reported in the 1100 block of South Fourth. A gas line was hit, but Alliant Energy was on the scene and advised they did not need assistance.

12:45 p.m. — Disorderly conduct was reported in the 1000 block of West Burlington.

1:28 p.m. — Police assisted a motorist at Burlington and 20th.

1:51 p.m. — A dump site was reported in the 200 block of East Jefferson.

2:01 p.m. — Police assisted a motorist by providing traffic control at Burlington and 20th.

2:09 p.m. — A dog at large was reported at Waterworks Park.

2:48 p.m. — A traffic accident was reported at Fourth and Burlington.

2:51 p.m. — A vehicle was towed from Kirkwood between Eighth and Ninth.

2:54 p.m. — Disturbing the peace was reported in the 200 block of East Pierce. A male was setting off fireworks.

3:57 p.m. — Kimberly Lynn Millard, 50, of Birmingham, was cited for operation without registration at Main and Fillmore.

4:23 p.m. — A verbal warning for a traffic violation was issued in the 1600 block of West Grimes.

4:32 p.m. — A scam was reported in the 200 block of North 28th.

4:39 p.m. — Police assisted a motorist at Fourth and Kirkwood.

5:34 p.m. — A verbal warning for a traffic violation was issued in the 300 block of West Burlington.

5:58 p.m. — Police assisted a dangerous driver at D and Broadway.

7:15 p.m. — Police assisted the ambulance in the 400 block of West Madison.

7:20 p.m. — Police assisted the sheriff’s office on Highway 34, westbound, near mile marker 212.

8:01 p.m. — A verbal warning for no plates was issued in the 1000 block of West Burlington.

9:53 p.m. — Disturbing the peace was reported in the 300 block of South Third.

9:58 p.m. — Disturbing the peace was reported in the 800 block of West Burlington.

10:12 p.m. — Disturbing the peace was reported at 17th and Washington.

10:19 p.m. — Disturbing the peace was reported in the 1300 block of West Burlington.

10:59 p.m. — Police assisted the ambulance in the 900 block of West Harrison.

11:23 p.m. — A verbal warning for a passenger-side taillight outage.

11:28 p.m. — A verbal warning for a traffic violation was issued at Iowa and Second.

11:34 p.m. — Debris was reported and then removed from the roadway on South Sixth between Burlington and Harrison.

 

Tuesday

1 a.m. — A verbal warning was issued to a bicycle rider for no bike light at Sixth and Burlington.

3:27 p.m. — A verbal warning for no plate light was issued in the 600 block of West Fillmore.

4:41 a.m. — A parking concern was reported in the 100 block of West Adams.
