The Fairfield Police Department reports the following logged by Dispatch:

 

Friday

12:19 a.m. — An officer advised subjects of park hours at Waterworks Park.

12:52 a.m. — Suspicious activity was reported in the 200 block of North 28th. An adult male was transported to Jefferson County Health Center for evaluation.

3:37 a.m. — Police assisted the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office in the 2200 block of Hemlock Avenue.

3:52 a.m. — A K-9 search was carried out in the 2200 block of Hemlock Avenue.

9:44 a.m. — An animal concern was reported in the 300 block of South 17th.

12:09 p.m. — Harassment was reported in the 500 block of West Depot.

1:24 p.m. — Police were asked to check on the welfare of a dog at Lowe and Main. The dog was sitting in a black truck for at least 30 minutes with no one around.

2:42 p.m. — Harassment was reported in the 200 block of East Buchanan.

2:51 p.m. — Vagrancy panhandling was reported at Fourth and Madison.

7:01 p.m. — Russell Jay Clark, 40, of Fairfield, was cited for driving while suspended, revoked, canceled or denied in the 1900 block of Business Highway 34.

7:32 p.m. — A traffic accident was reported in the 1100 block of Granville Avenue.

7:56 p.m. — A verbal warning for no front plate was issued at Second and Broadway.

10:20 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued for a driver-side headlight outage at 16th and Burlington.

10:43 p.m. — A verbal warning for a broken brake light was issued at Ninth and Jefferson.

10:53 p.m. — Disturbing the peace — a fireworks complaint — was reported in the 200 block of South C.

11:08 p.m. — Police checked on vehicles parked behind the Fairfield Middle School by the softball fields. One of the subjects said they had just finished a baseball game and were checking traps.

11:20 p.m. — A business’s alarm sounded in the 2000 block of Brookville Road.

11:46 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued for a passenger-side taillight outage in the 1300 block of West Burlington.

11:58 p.m. — A municipal infraction citation for expired registration was issued at Second and Broadway.

 

Saturday

1:42 a.m. — A verbal warning for a passenger-side taillight outage was issued at D and Madison.

7:54 a.m. — Police investigated a burglary/breaking and entering in the 700 block of South Sixth.

12:43 p.m. — An animal concern was reported in the 1200 block of West Burlington.

2:14 p.m. — Police assisted a motorist on West Burlington near North 28th.

2:22 p.m. — Kyle Dakota Kurnes, 21, of Fairfield, was cited for driving while disqualified in the 1300 block of West Burlington. A verbal warning was issued for no registration and no insurance. The vehicle was originally stopped for no third brake light and failure to yield the right of way.

2:51 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued for a driver-side brake light outage at Ninth and Stone.

3:01 p.m. — Police assisted the sheriff’s office on Highway 34, eastbound, near mile marker 214.

4:01 p.m. — Police assisted the sheriff’s office in the 1300 block of Packwood Road.

4:24 p.m. — Charity Leann Smith, 39, of Fairfield, was cited for driving while disqualified in the 300 block of West Burlington. A verbal warning was issued for no insurance and failure to obey a red light.

4:57 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued for a passenger-side brake light outage at Seventh and Tyler.

8:52 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued for a passenger-side brake light outage at Second and Stone.

9:49 p.m. — A verbal warning for a broken brake light was issued at Ninth and Washington.

9:59 p.m. — Disturbing the peace — a fireworks complaint — was reported at Fourth and Madison.

11:50 p.m. — Police checked Waterworks Park after hours and advised subjects, who were playing a card game, of the park hours.

 

Sunday

2:53 a.m. -- Police checked the Fairfield Golf & Country Club building.

3:16 a.m. -- Police checked the buildings around the Fairfield square and found everything OK.

3:49 a.m. -- Police checked The Walton Club building.

10:48 a.m. -- Disturbing the peace was reported at Fourth and Madison.

2:31 p.m. -- Police assisted the sheriff’s office at the junction of old and new Highway 34 east of Fairfield.

9:31 p.m. -- Disturbing the peace was reported in the 200 block of North C.

11:43 p.m. -- Suspicious activity was reported in the 2200 block of West Burlington. Property was found.
