The Fairfield Police Department reports the following logged at Dispatch:

 

Sunday

9:12 a.m. — Police investigated a report of stolen prescription pills in the 400 block of South Fourth.

12:36 p.m. — A U-Haul was reportedly in the roadway at Burlington and D blocking traffic and causing vehicles to drive around. The U-Haul moved before police arrived.

1:18 p.m. — A controlled substance was reported in the 900 block of South Sixth.

5:30 p.m. — Harassment was reported in the 800 block of West Tyler.

7:31 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued at D and Washington for speeding.

7:50 p.m. — Suspicious activity was reported at the Little League Field. A subject was walking and was OK.

8 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued at D and Burlington for no plates.

9:21 p.m. — An animal concern was reported in the 1000 block of North Eighth.

10:17 p.m. — Vandalism was reported in the 300 block of West Broadway.

10:39 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued at 23rd and Burlington for a broken license plate light.

10:56 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued at 12th and Burlington for a broken license plate light.

 

Monday

7:10 a.m. — A verbal warning was issued at D and Burlington for a driver-side brake outage.

7:16 a.m. — Suspicious activity was reported in the 200 block of North 28th. The caller had received a voicemail from a male subject telling him that several complaints had been received about his driving and he needed to attend driving school at 7 a.m. Tuesday. There was no name, number or location about the “driving school.” The caller was advised it was a scam.

7:32 a.m. — Suspicious activity — possible gunshots — were reported in the 300 block of Iowa Avenue.

8:43 a.m. — A municipal infraction citation was issued at Seventh and Jefferson for expired registration. A verbal warning was issued for failure to obey a stop sign.

11:10 a.m. — Extra patrol was requested in the 700 block of West Tyler.

12:21 p.m. — Fraud was reported in the 400 block of West Kirkwood.

12:35 p.m. — An animal concern was reported in the 100 block of North Fourth.

4:09 p.m. — Harassment was reported in the 300 block of South 14th.

5:19 p.m. — Theft was reported in the 2100 block of Libertyville Road.

5:32 p.m. — An animal concern was reported at Burlington and Glasgow.

6:03 p.m. — Police assisted the Ottumwa Police Department.

7:58 p.m. — A civil dispute was reported in the 2100 block of South Main.

8:21 p.m. — An animal concern was reported in the 1300 block of West Burlington.

9:17 p.m. — Harassment was reported in the 100 block of South 15th.

9:36 p.m. — Police assisted the sheriff’s office at 28th and Grimes.

10:21 p.m. — Police investigated theft in the 300 block of West Broadway.

11 p.m. — Disturbing the peace — fireworks — was reported at Fourth and Madison.

11:55 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued at Main and Kirkwood for a traffic violation.

 

Tuesday

2:14 p.m. — Trespassing was reported in the 1300 block of West Jackson.

2:38 p.m. — Police assisted the sheriff’s office in the 2300 block of Marigold.
