The Fairfield Police Department reports the following logged at Dispatch:

 

Friday

7:40 a.m. — Police investigated a report of a stolen handgun in the 300 block of East Fillmore.

8:04 a.m. — Animal bites were reported at Jefferson County Health Center.

8:32 a.m. — Police investigated burglary/breaking and entering in the 1000 block of South Fourth.

10:27 a.m. — Police investigated destruction/damage/vandalism of property in the 1000 block of South Fourth.

11:40 p.m. — A written warning was issued at Ninth and Broadway for a traffic violation.

11:40 a.m. — A K-9 search was conducted at Ninth and Broadway.

1:11 p.m. — Harassment was reported in the 300 block of West Madison.

1:36 p.m. — Burglary was investigated in the 200 block of East Pierce.

2:20 p.m. — A worker entering a confined space was reported in the 1900 block of West Stone.

2:56 p.m. — Police investigated domestic abuse assault-first offense (simple) in the 800 block of North 10th. At 3:19 p.m., James Richard Ryder, 55, of Fairfield was arrested in the 800 block of North 10th and charged with domestic abuse assault.

4:34 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued at Ninth and Burlington for a traffic violation.

6:06 p.m. — Shoplifting was investigated in the 2700 block of West Burlington.

6:25 p.m. — Police provided warrant service in the 500 block of North Main.

6:32 p.m. — A “keep the peace” request was made in the 800 block of North 10th.

6:32 p.m. — Blayre Wagler, 26, of Fairfield, was arrested in the 1300 block of West Jackson on a warrant for failure to appear.

7:57 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued at 10th and Stone. A bicyclist was advised he needed lights on his bike.

8:09 p.m. — A “keep the peace” request was made in the 800 block of North 10th.

8:10 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued at Adams and C for no plates.

9:58 p.m. — Police investigated shoplifting in the 2700 block of West Burlington. At 10:12 p.m., Jeffrey Scott Hartman, 42, of Fairfield was arrested and charged with fifth-degree theft. Melinda Sue Scott, 41, of Fairfield, was arrested and charged with fifth-degree theft.

 

Saturday

12:51 a.m. — Police investigated offenses at 26th and Grimes. At 12:57 a.m., Michael Eugene Crafton, 57, of Fairfield, was arrested and charged with driving while revoked.

3:30 a.m. — Police investigated domestic abuse in the 900 block of West Briggs. At 3:38 a.m., Chrystal Dawn Walterman, 30, of Fairfield, was arrested and charged with domestic abuse assault.

6:38 a.m. — An animal concern was reported in the 1000 block of North Eighth.

7:03 a.m. — A citation was issued in the 2100 block of Libertyville Road to Timothy Paul Hibbets, 31, of Wayland, for driving while suspended, revoked, canceled or denied.

8:48 a.m. — Police investigated offenses in the 500 block of West Adams. Nicholas Robert Russell, 25, of Brighton, was arrested and charged with driving while barred.

12:30 p.m. — A civil dispute was reported in the 300 block of East Washington. A citizen complained he was expecting an important check, but the mail didn’t arrive Friday. He was advised this was not a police matter and to call the post office.

12:42 p.m. — A utilities hazard was reported in the 200bblock of East Broadway.

1:02 p.m. — Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported in the 600 block of North Third.

4:28 p.m. — Police investigated destruction/damage/vandalism of property in the 500 block of West Depot.

4:38 p.m. — Fraud was reported in the 1200 block of West Burlington.

5:02 p.m. — A business’s automatic recorded alarm system was tripped in the 1900 block of West Burlington.

5:39 p.m. — An animal concern was reported in the 400 block of North Court.

6:19 p.m. -- A business alarm sounded in the 2500 block of West Burlington.

6:37 p.m. -- A business alarm sounded in the 1900 block of West Burlington.

6:55 p.m. -- A civil dispute was reported in the 400 block of West Broadway.

7:54 p.m. -- A verbal warning was issued at the D Street railroad crossing for a passenger-side headlight outage.
