The Fairfield Police Department reports the following incidents logged into dispatch:

Tuesday

8:38 a.m.: Police stopped a vehicle for speeding 36 miles per hour in a 25-miles-per-hour zone at South Sixth Street and West School Avenue. A verbal warning was issued.

8:50 a.m.: Police received a report of a theft in the 1700 block of South Main Street.

12:41 p.m.: Police stopped a vehicle in the 700 block of West Washington Avenue for a break light that was out. A verbal warning was issued.

12:41 p.m.: A citizen reported a utilities hazard in the alley behind 504 N. Court St.

12:41 p.m.: A citizen reported a civil dispute in the 700 block of West Brings Avenue.

1:07 p.m.: An officer served a warrant at 1504 Lone Oak Circle.

1:39 p.m.: A citizen reported harassment in Milton.

2:41 p.m.: Vera Elizabeth Rhodes, 64, of 201 W. Adams Ave., was cited for failure to prove security against liability (accident related), failure to hae a valid license or permit for operating a motor vehicle and operation without registration.

2:51 p.m.: MidWestOne Bank reported a counterfeit $100 bill.

3:24 p.m.: a citizen reported a lost and found item on the Maharishi University of Management campus.

3:53 p.m.: A citizen reported a violation of a no-contact order in the 900 block of West Tyler Avenue.

4:59 p.m.: A citizen requested a welfare check at a residence in the 200 block of Highland Street.

6:35 p.m.: A citizen reported an object in the road. Jeremky Milam was cited for failure to maintain control at 32nd Street and West Madison Avenue.

7:06 p.m.: A citizen reported a possible gas leak in the 300 block of East Burlington Avenue. Police determined everything was OK.

7:46 p.m.: Jeri Lea Odell, 51, 506 W. Stone Ave., was cited for driving while suspended, revoked, canceled or denied.

8:29 p.m.: Police issued a verbal warning for a broken brake light.

8:37 p.m.: Police issued a verbal warning for a taillight.

89:15 p.m.: A citizen reported suspicious activity at the Arbor Bar. The police found a roofing crew working.

10:40 p.m.: A citizen reported a violation of a no-contact order in the 600 block of South Fourth Street.

 

Sheriff

Monday

6:54 p.m.: David Theodore Wilkin, 61, Oskaloosa, was driving a white 2007 Chevrolet pickup west on Highway 34 and Umber Avenue and hit a deer in the roadway. The vehicle was totaled.
