The Fairfield Police Department reports the following incidents logged into dispatch:

Thursday

6:35 a.m. — A citizen reported vandalism at First Baptist Church. Police found a car alarm was activated.

7:32 a.m. — Police stopped a vehicle for speeding and issued a warning to the driver.

7:32 a.m. — A citizen reported a railroad crossing arm malfunction at the North Court Street crossing.

7:39 a.m. — A vehicle was stopped for speeding at Kirkwood Avenue and F Street. A verbal warning was issued.

7:53 a.m. — A welfare check was requested for a subject with diabetic problems.

8:07 a; m. — Bobbi Michelle Lauderman, 40, of rural Fairfield was citied for operation without registration.

8:28 a.m. — Behner Funeral Home requested a funeral escort.

8:45 a.m. — A vehicle was stopped for speeding at Burlington Avenue and Sixth Street. A verbal warning was issued.

8:46 a.m. — A citizen reported a suspicious vehicle in an apartment parking lot.

9:02 a.m. — A citizen reported suspicious behavior and requested extra patrol near Polk Avenue and Sixth Street.

9:18 a.m. — Police provided assistance at the Van Buren County Health Center in Keosauqua.

10:05 a.m. — A welfare check was requested for a female reportedly showing psychiatric behavior. Everything appeared OK.

10:56 a.m. — Clinton John Morrison, 16, of Fairfield was citied for excessive speed at B Street and Burlington Avenue. The vehicle was traveling 37 mph in a 25 mph zone.

11:37 a.m. — A vehicle was stopped for speeding at Jefferson Avenue and Seventh Street. A verbal warning was issued.

2:19 p.m. — A citizen reported larceny/theft at Jet Stop.

2:58 p.m. — Kyle Tramontana was arrested on a warrant from Mt. Pleasant for a probation violation.

3:10 p.m.: Kyle Connelly, 31, of Fairfield was arrested on charges of parole revocation for drugs-narcotic violations.

3:21 p.m. — A caller reported property damage from an accident previously reported at 32nd Street and Madison Avenue.

3:41 p.m. — An accident was reported at the Fairfield High School. Owen Lox and Gabriella Pollet agreed they were both trying to exit the north high school parking lot at the same time. They stated a truck was blocking their view, which caused them to hit one another. Names were exchanged between them.

4:13 p.m. — A small child had walked out of a house near B Street and Briggs Avenue. He was returned.

6:50 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued for a passenger-side headlight out in the 3000 block of West Burlington Avenue.

6:53 p.m. — A domestic dispute was reported in the 400 block of West Stone Avenue. No charges were filed.

7:31 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued for a passenger-side headlight out at Ninth Street and Grimes Avenue.

7:53 p.m. — A violation of a no-contact order was reported in the 900 block of West Tyler Avenue. The case is under investigation.

8:23 p.m. — A verbal warning for no vehicle plates was issued in the 1000 block of West Burlington Avenue.

8:28 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued for a traffic violation at Ninth Street and Jefferson Avenue.

8:38 p.m. — Police were requested to assist the Henry County Sheriff’s Office in Mt. Pleasant.

9:32 p.m. — Police were requested to assisted the Washington Police Department in Washington, Iowa.

9:57 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued for a passenger-side headlight out at E Street and Madison Avenue.

10:27 p.m. — A citizen reported a barking dog in the 1000 block of West Briggs Avenue, but police did not locate the dog.

10:40 p.m. — John Edwin Koch, 52, of Fairfield, was arrested at Fairfield Hy-Vee Food Store on warrants for driving while suspended, revoked, canceled or denied, possession of a controlled substance — third or subsequent offense (marijuana), operating while intoxicated — first offense, and open container in motor vehicle.

 

Friday

12:03 a.m. — Police followed up on a 911 misdial in the 300 block of South Fourth Street.

2:51 a.m. — A citizen requested a welfare check. Police found the residence secure.

6:06 a.m. — A citizen reported suspicious activity in the 1000 block of Hillcrest Drive.

7:21 a.m. — A citizen reported a parking violation. The vehicle was gone on arrival.

8:42 a.m. — Behner Funeral Home requested a funeral escort.

9:21 a.m. — A vehicle was stopped for speeding at Harrison Avenue and Seventh Street. A verbal warning was issued.

9:31 a.m. — A vehicle was stopped for speeding at Fillmore Avenue and Sixth Street. A citation was issued.

10:42 a.m. — A citizen reported a disruptive employee in the 200 block of South 23rd Street.
