Fairfield police reported the following logged at dispatch:


11:27 a.m. — A disturbance was reported at Jefferson and C.

12:44 p.m. — A welfare check was done in the 200 block of West Briggs.

1:12 p.m. — Fraud was reported in the 200 block of East Pierce.

2:43 p.m. — Premier Car Rental reported theft of a motor vehicle.

3:34 p.m. — Jonathan Diaz was arrested on a warrant for carrying weapons.

4:49 p.m. — An arrest was made on a warrant in the 100 block of East Broadway.

5:09 p.m. — Brandon Robbins was arrested on a warrant for a 90-day mittimus.

5:19 p.m. — A car and deer accident happened at Lowe and D.

5:21 p.m. — Suspicious activity was reported. Two white cargo vans with no markings or headlights were driving around Washington and Sixth.

5:36 p.m. — A two-vehicle accident happened at Burlington and Second.

5:53 p.m. — Police assisted the District Court in Washington.

6:51 p.m. — Police assisted a motorist in the 700 block of West Burlington.

9:15 p.m. — Suspicious smoke was reported at Grimes and 16th.

9:42 p.m. — Police checked on a person in the 500 block of South Third.

11:29 p.m. — A house alarm sounded in the 300 block of South Main.



Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents:


10:40 p.m. — A 2018 International semi driven by Lester Leroy Hockaday, 67, of Abilene, Texas, stuck a deer on Highway 34 near mile marker 211.

10:46 p.m. — A 2011 Toyota RAV driven by Rachel Leigh Callow, 23, of Batavia, struck a deer on Highway 34 near Hemlock Avenue.
