POLICE

The Fairfield Police Department reports the following incidents logged at dispatch:

 

Sunday

1:17 a.m. — A utilities hazard was reported at Second and Broadway, where the streetlights went out.

1:25 a.m. — Police assisted the sheriff’s office with directions on Highway 1 north of Birmingham.

2:46 a.m. — Police completed a walk-through at the Depot Bar.

7:54 a.m. — Marcus Ledell Porter, 31, of Fairfield, was cited for driving while suspended, revoked, canceled or denied at Second and Burlington.

9:16 a.m. — A vehicle was stopped for speeding 36 mph in a 25 mph zone in the 100 block of East Burlington. A verbal warning was issued.

9:31 a.m. — A vehicle was stopped for speeding 36 mph in a 25 mph zone at Court and Burlington. A verbal warning was issued.

10:50 a.m. — A civil dispute was reported in the 2300 block of West Burlington.

11:33 a.m. — Police advised a resident near 10th and Carpenter that only brush and yard waste can be burned during Fairfield’s burn months.

11:52 a.m. — Police investigated shoplifting at Walmart.

12:49 p.m. — Police checked a business where a door had been left open.

3:56 p.m. — Police investigated drug and narcotic violations at Walmart.

6:35 p.m. — An animal was reported in the 2100 block of Jade Lane.

7:01 p.m. — A 911 misdial was received.

7:19 p.m. — A loud bang was reported in the 1000 block of South Main.

8 p.m. — A verbal warning for a traffic violation was issued at Sixth and Jefferson.

9:35 p.m. — A small, black, female dog was found at Hy-Vee.

10:02 p.m. — Police advised subjects of the Waterworks Park hours.

11:32 p.m. — Police assisted the ambulance in the 2900 block of West Adams.

 

Monday

3:13 a.m. — Police assisted the ambulance in the 300 block of South 12th.

6:21 a.m. — Police assisted the ambulance in the 500 block of West Stone.

6:37 a.m. — A verbal warning was issued for a headlight outage at Logli’s.

6:55 a.m. — Police investigated a theft at Kum & Go.

7:27 p.m. — Harassment was reported in the 400 block of South 20th.

9:13 a.m. — A loose dog was reported in the 900 block of South Fifth.

11:49 a.m. — Harassment was reported in the 600 block of East Adams.

12:12 p.m. — A vehicle was stopped for failure to yield right of way during a left turn at Burlington and Fourth. A verbal warning was issued.

1:15 p.m. — A civil issue was reported in 2300 block of West Burlington.

2:14 p.m. — A vehicle was stopped for not having plates at Kirkwood and Third. A verbal warning was issued.

2:19 p.m. — An accident was reported in the 1300 block of West Burlington.

2:54 p.m. — Police provided assistance in the 1500 block of Woodside Circle.

3 p.m. — A welfare check was requested in the 400 block of South Third.

4:10 p.m. — A missing vehicle was reported from Reed Powersport.

4:51 p.m. — Suspicious activity was reported in the 2300 block of West Burlington.

5:14 p.m. — Vehicle equipment malfunction was reported in the 1600 block of West Burlington.

6:03 p.m. — Police assisted a disabled vehicle at O.B. Nelson Park.

7:06 p.m. Police assisted the ambulance in the 600 block of West Monroe.

7:30 p.m. — A hazardous road condition was reported in the 400 block of East Madison.

7:44 p.m. — Seth Harris, 27, of Fairfield was arrested in the 200 block of East Fillmore on a warrant for third-degree burglary.

7:59 p.m. — A “sudden death and body” was reported in the 500 block of South E.

8:02 p.m. — An animal was reported in the 400 block of West Madison.

10:45 p.m. — An animal was reported in the 1000 block of West Briggs.

10:48 p.m. — Loud music was reported in the 400 block of North B.

11:23 p.m. — A vehicle was stopped in the 700 block of West Burlington for a broken taillight. A verbal warning was issued.

11:31 p.m. — A vehicle was stopped at 12th and Jackson for a headlight outage. A verbal warning was issued.

11:43 p.m. — Police checked the doors at the Walton Club.
