POLICE

The Fairfield Police Department reports the following incidents logged at dispatch:

 

Wednesday

10:33 a.m. — A report of criminal mischief at Americus Diamond was reported and investigated.

1:43 p.m. — Criminal mischief was reported in the 900 block of West Jefferson.

2:21 p.m. — Police checked on a citizen.

2:51 p.m. — Loud music was reported at Broadway and Main.

4:36 p.m. — A 911 misdial was received.

4:38 p.m. — Extra patrol was requested in the 800 block of South Seventh.

5:31 p.m. — Police assisted with a disabled vehicle at 32nd and Burlington.

6:21 p.m. — Police assisted the Fairfield Fire Department on a structure fire call to Super 8.

7:24 p.m. — A domestic disturbance was reported in the 500 block of West Depot.

7:56 p.m. — A welfare check was requested in the 1000 block of West Carpenter.

9:12 p.m. — Police assisted the Jefferson County Sheriffs Office on Highway 34 near mile marker 218.

 

Thursday

12:14 a.m. — Scotty Harold Hopkins, 41, was arrested in the 2600 block of Highway 1 and charged with driving while revoked.

12:37 a.m. — A complaint of a loud party in the 100 block of South Maple was received.

1:05 a.m. — Police performed a building check at Tractor Supply Center.

1:42 a.m. — Family members arguing was reported in the 700 block of South Second.

7:01 a.m. — An alarm at Fairfield Veterinary Clinic sounded.

8:49 a.m. — An alarm at the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center sounded.

9:02 a.m. — A citizen reported she was taking a dog to the Vet Clinic and needed someone to sign for it. The dog was recognized as a neighbor’s dog, and the citizen returned it to its owners.

10 a.m. — A 911 misdial was received.

10:19 a.m. — An animal was reported at 32nd and Burlington.

10:35 a.m. — Police called a tow truck to move a vehicle blocking traffic at Ninth and Jefferson.

3:05 p.m. — A domestic disturbance was reported in the 500 block of West Kirkwood.

4:51 p.m. — A security request was received by Walmart.

5:16 p.m. — Larceny theft was reported in the 200 block of East Briggs.

5:23 p.m. — A report of an older man wandering in the area of Fifth and Washington was received. He said he thought the church was hosting a Thanksgiving dinner. Police suggested he go home.

5:52 p.m. — Harassment was reported in the 1000 block of West Carpenter.

6:08 p.m. — Ottumwa Police Department advised of a missing person.

6:09 p.m. — Police investigated a burglary/breaking and entering in the 300 block of South C. Items were taken from the residence.

6:16 p.m. — Police assisted the ambulance in the 500 block of West Harrison.

7:13 p.m. — A window was shot with BBs in the 400 block of West Adams.

8:26 p.m. — Police investigated a burglary/breaking and entering in the 200 block of East Briggs.

8:49 p.m. — An animal was reported in the 1000 block of North Eighth.

9:44 p.m. — A welfare check was performed in the 800 block of West Washington.

 

Friday

2:55 a.m. — Police assisted the Jefferson County Sheriffs Office at an accident at Libertyville and Juniper.

Thursday

3:50 a.m. — A 2009 Buick driven by Jordan Tyrese Delaney, 17, of Coralville, struck a deer on Highway 34 near Jefferson Henry Avenue.
