POLICE

The Fairfield Police Department reports the following incidents logged at dispatch:

 

Monday

7:35 a.m. — A misdialed 911 call was received.

8:53 a.m. — A vehicle was stopped for traveling 38 mph in a 25 mph zone at Second and Kirkwood. A verbal warning was issued.

8:53 a.m. — A vehicle was stopped for speeding at Fourth and Fillmore. A verbal warning was issued.

9:33 a.m. — A driving complaint was reported in the 200 block of South 17th.

9:51 a.m. — A theft, drugs and equipment violations was investigated in the 800 block of West Depot.

11:13 a.m. — A welfare check was performed in the 200 block of East Buchanan.

11:18 a.m. — An accident was reported at the intersection of Main and Burlington.

12:29 p.m. — A 911 misdial was received.

12:32 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued for expired plates at Fourth and Adams.

2:25 p.m. — Suspicious activity was reported in the 1000 block of Walton Road.

3:48 p.m. — Brook Ann Stagers, 25, of Fairfield, was arrested at Harrison Apartments. She was arrested and charged with driving while suspended, revoked, canceled or denied.

3:54 p.m. — A 911 misdial was received.

3:57 p.m. — An accident was reported at Fourth and Burlington.

5:21 p.m. — A truck was reported stolen in the 200 block of Highland.

7:23 p.m. — A welfare check/motorist assist was performed in the 50 block of West Broadway.

7:33 p.m. — Simple assault was reported at Lantern Park Apartments.

7:41 p.m. — Police assisted the ambulance at Lantern Park Apartments.

7:57 p.m. — A 911 misdial was received.

8:15 p.m. — Tristan Adam Downing, 21, of Fairfield, was arrested in the 200 block of West Washington and charged with domestic abuse assault-aggravated.

8:42 p.m. — A lost and found item was reported at Fourth and Burlington.

9:19 p.m. — A welfare check was performed at B and Jefferson.

9:33 p.m. — Ottumwa Police Department reported a missing person.

21:37 p.m. — Ottumwa Police Department reported a missing person.

 

Tuesday

1:11 a.m. — An alarm sounded at Tractor Supply Company.

1:59 a.m. — Police performed a warrant service in the 100 block of South 14th.

2:15 a.m. — A verbal warning for a traffic violation was issued at Fourth and Broadway.

 

SHERIFF

The Jefferson County Sheriffs Office reports the following:

 

Friday

2:55 a.m. — Tera Kathleen Hoffeditz, 44, of Douds was driving a 1996 Cadillac Deville east on Libertyville Road, east of Juniper Avenue. The vehicle struck the Cedar Creek bridge, went over the railing, rolling over and stopped below the bridge. Hoffdeitz and a passenger, Anthony Wayne Lundquist, 31, of Fairfield, were both extricated by non-mechanical means and transported by Midwest Ambulance to Jefferson County Health Center. Hoffeditz was cited for operating while intoxicated-second offense and failure to maintain control. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $4,000. Damage to a Jefferson County Road Department sign was estimated at $150.
