POLICE

The Fairfield Police Department reports the following logged at Dispatch:

 

Sunday

9:25 a.m. — A lost-and-found item was reported at Walmart.

11:47 a.m. — A miscellaneous complaint was received from Fairfield Glass.

4:33 p.m. — A civil dispute was reported at Walmart.

6:31 p.m. — A civil dispute was reported at the Fairfield Police Department.

6:51 p.m. — A traffic accident was reported on Highway 34 at Exit 214.

7:33 p.m. — Police assisted the Highway Patrol on Highway 34 at Exit 210.

8:17 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued for a traffic violation at Briggs and Court.

11:59 p.m. — Extra patrol was requested at Walmart.

 

Monday

1:59 a.m. — Suspicious activity was reported in the 900 block of West Harrison.

8:24 a.m. — An animal was reported in the 600 block of West Monroe.

9:16 a.m. — Police assisted the Ottumwa Police Department.

12:25 p.m. — Hazardous road conditions were reported at Fourth and Kirkwood.

12:27 p.m. — Fraud was reported in the 1300 block of Liberty Drive.

3:33 p.m. — An alarm sounded at Fairfield Veterinary Clinic.

5:16 p.m. — Harassment was reported in the 400 block of West Broadway.

6:57 p.m. — A misdialed 911 call was received.

6:57 p.m. — Suspicious activity was reported in the 300 block of West Jefferson.

7:50 p.m. — A misdialed 911 call was received.

8:20 p.m. — Possible gunshots were heard at Jackson and Third.

8:31 p.m. — A misdialed 911 call was received.

9:10 p.m. — A welfare check was requested at Fourth and Depot. A vehicle door was left open.

9:15 p.m. — Michele Kohrs, 39, of Fairfield, was arrested at West Burlington and 11th Street. She was charged with driving while barred.

10:33 p.m. — A domestic disturbance was reported in the 500 block of West Broadway.

 

SHERIFF

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports the following:

 

Friday

6:49 a.m. — Slate Gordon Sweat, 51, of Fremont, lost control of his GMC pickup due to icy conditions on the bridge in the 1900 block of Libertyville Road. The vehicle hit the bridge railing. One passenger was transported by ambulance to Jefferson County Health Center for minor injuries. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $5,000.
