POLICE

The Fairfield Police Department reports the following logged at Dispatch:

 

Friday

6:08 a.m. — A vehicle was towed from Brookville Road and Burlington.

6:34 a.m. — A misdialed 911 call was received.

7:59 a.m. — A verbal warning for speed was issued in the 1900 block of Highway 34 West.

8:14 a.m. — Shelby Kathleen Miller, 25, Fairfield, was cited for excessive speed in the 2100 block of West Burlington.

8:21 a.m. — A verbal warning for improper display of registration was issued in the 1900 block of Highway 34 West.

8:32 a.m. — An animal was reported at J16 and Nova.

8:44 a.m. — An animal was reported in the 100 block of South 17th.

10:26 a.m. — Mason Simons was arrested on a warrant from Jefferson County.

11:35 a.m. — Police assisted the ambulance in the 400 block of Highland.

1:12 p.m. — Police assisted the Wapello County Sheriff’s Office.

2:10 p.m. — A verbal warning for failure to stop was issued at Fourth and Grimes.

2:25 p.m. — Police moved pallets that were in the road at Ninth and Burlington.

2:37 p.m. — Police checked on the welfare of a motorist at Fillmore and Main.

3:13 p.m. — Telephone harassment was reported in the 2200 block of Highway 34 East.

3:28 p.m. — Police checked on the welfare of a motorist at Sixth and Fillmore.

3:41 p.m. — A verbal warning for no plates on a vehicle was issued at Fourth and Grimes.

4:04 p.m. — A verbal warning for a traffic violation was issued at 1700 block of South Main.

4:22 p.m. — A verbal warning for failure to display registration was issued at Ninth and Depot.

4:43 p.m. — An animal was reported in the 1000 block of North Eighth.

5:17 p.m. — Police checked on the welfare of a person in the 100 block of North Main.

5:20 p.m. — An animal was reported at Fairfield Veterinary Clinic.

5:46 p.m. — Suspicious activity was reported in the 500 block of South 15.

5:55 p.m. — Police investigated a theft at Sixth and Hempstead.

6:35 p.m. — Police assisted the Wapello County Sheriff’s Office.

7:14 p.m. — Police assisted the Wapello County Sheriff’s Office.

7:19 p.m. — An animal was reported in the 800 block of West Grimes.

7:37 p.m. — Tractor Supply Company reported a theft.

7:44 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued for a traffic violation in the 1000 block of West Burlington.

8:55 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued for a traffic violation at Eighth and Hempstead.

9:07 p.m. — A verbal warning for a nonworking passenger-side headlight was issued at 3000 West Burlington.

 

Saturday

12:37 a.m. — Bad weather was reported.

2:47 a.m. — Bad weather was reported.

8:22 a.m. — A parking issue was reported in the 1700 block of West Burlington.

8:41 a.m. — A parking issue was reported on Cromwell between Broadway and Burlington.

9:05 a.m. — A verbal warning for a nonworking brake light was issued in the 400 block of East Pierce.

9:56 a.m. — A misdialed 911 call was received.

9:57 a.m. — A vehicle was towed from the 100 block of North Fourth for extended parking.

10:13 a.m. — Police assisted the Iowa State Patrol. The ISP started a chase near Mt. Pleasant. Spikes were deployed just east of the Highway 34 214 on-ramp. The spikes took out the front and rear driver-side tires. The vehicle took the exit and stopped near Overland Sheep Company. All four subjects were detained. ISP handled the scene, while Fairfield police did traffic control.

11:17 a.m. — A utilities hazard was reported in the 500 block of West Burlington.
