POLICE

The Fairfield Police Department reports the following logged at Dispatch:

 

Tuesday

3:04 p.m. — Police assisted Juvenile Court Services.

5:10 p.m. — A domestic disturbance was reported in the 300 block of South D.

5:36 p.m. — A parking issue at Fairfield Little League was reported.

6:59 p.m. — Police performed a building check in the 300 block of East Buchanan.

7:16 p.m. — A dangerous driver was reported in the 100 block of West Burlington.

9:07 p.m. — A vehicle was stopped for no plates at Second and Washington. The driver provided documents showing the purchase. A verbal warning was issued.

9:46 p.m. — Police checked suspicious activity at Norm’s Storage.

11:20 p.m. — A misdialed 911 call was received.

 

Wednesday

12:15 a.m. — Antonio Lavell Thomas, 36, of Fairfield, was arrested at Seventh and Monroe and charged with operating while intoxicated-first offense.

12:52 a.m. — A business alarm sounded in the 300 block of South 20th.

2:10 a.m. — Police assisted the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office.

4:05 a.m. — Logan Wall was cited for no insurance at Fifth and Burlington. A verbal warning also was issued for a traffic violation.

4:33 a.m. — A verbal warning was issued for failure to stop at a flashing red light at Main and Madison.

5:20 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued for failure to stop at the D and Burlington stop light.

7:14 a.m. — A verbal warning for failure to display registration was issued in the 2700 block of West Burlington.

8 a.m. — Police assisted the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office in the 800 block of South Fourth.

8:38 a.m. — Police spoke with a concerned citizen in the 400 block of West Burlington.

9:16 p.m. — Bad weather was reported.

9:43 a.m. — A missing person/walk-away was reported in the 3000 block of West Grimes.

9:49 a.m. — Police investigated a burglary/breaking and entering in the 50 block of East Broadway.

9:57 a.m. — Suspicious activity was reported in the 900 block of North Eighth, and a welfare check on a person was requested.

10:34 a.m. — A verbal warning for no front plate was issued in the 2000 block of South Main.

10:34 a.m. — Police investigated destruction/damage/vandalism of property in the 400 block of North B.

11:35 a.m. — A misdialed 911 call was received.

1:10 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued for a broken brake light at Second and Harrison.

1:28 p.m. — Police checked on a driver parked at Gear and Brookville Road.

1:38 p.m. — Police signed for a dog at Fairfield Veterinary Clinic.

1:41 p.m. — A vehicle with a cracked taillight was stopped in the 800 block of West Depot.

2:16 p.m. — A verbal warning for failure to display registration was issued at Ninth and Washington.

2:22 p.m. — A verbal warning for a nonworking passenger-side brake light was issued at Fifth and Grimes.

2:37 p.m. — Police checked on suspicious activity at 16th and Burlington.

3:29 p.m. — Police checked on the welfare of a person in the 2000 block of Pearl Lane.

3:37 p.m. — Police checked on the welfare of a person.

3:49 p.m. — Stolen plates were found on an abandoned vehicle in the 100 block of West Stone.

3:49 p.m. — The abandoned vehicle in the 100 block of West Stone was towed to the impound lot.

7 p.m.-- Police assisted the ambulance in the 1100 block of Grandville.

8:48 p.m. — A water main break was reported in the 1100 block of West Hempstead.

9:50 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued for no driver-side brake light at Fourth and Harrison.

 

Thursday

12:30 a.m. — Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a missing person.
