The Fairfield Police Department reports the following logged into dispatch:

 

Sunday

12:15 a.m. — An assault was reported in the 500 block of South 15th.

3:47 a.m. — Police advised people in Chautauqua Park of the park’s hours.

5:36 a.m. — Ottumwa police advised of a missing person.

7:25 a.m. — Police responded to an alarm at Generic ID NA Corp.

8:33 a.m. — A verbal warning was issued for failure to stop at Seventh and Jackson.

9:12 a.m. — A misdialed 911 call was received.

11:36 a.m. — A vehicle was stopped for suspicious behavior at Madison and Maple.

1:42 p.m. Police assisted the sheriff’s office on Highway 34 near mile marker 227.

2:04 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued for a nonworking brake light at 14th and Burlington.

2:17 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued for failure to stop at Seventh and Jackson.

2:50 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued for a defective muffle at D Street and Hempstead.

3:07 p.m. — A citizen reported a deer was hit by a train in the 400 block of North C. Street.

3:13 p.m. — David Brent Clark, 48, of Fairfield, was cited for driving while suspended, revoked, canceled or denied at Sixth and Depot.

3:20 p.m. — Police responded to a misdailed 911 call at Casey’s General Store on West Burlington.

3:54 p.m. — A building check was done at Sinclair Tractor.

4:26 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued for a driver-side brake light outage.

5:03 p.m. — Suspicious activity was reported in the 1000 block of West Broadway.

6:40 p.m. — A computer scam was reported in the 500 block of South E Street.

7:46 p.m. — A citizen reported she could not find her vehicle.

10:05 p.m. — A trespasser was reported in the 1300 block of West Jackson.

11:12 p.m. — A domestic altercation was reported in the 900 block of West Briggs.

11:28 p.m. — A domestic altercation was reported in the 300 block of East Jefferson.

 

Monday

7 a.m. — Phone harassment was reported in the 400 block of South 15th.

7:32 a.m. — The alarm at First National Bank’s branch sounded.

8:15 a.m. — Larceny theft was reported in the 800 block of West Depot. It was determined to be a civil issue.

8:44 a.m. — A 911 misdail was received.

10:06 a.m. — A vehicle was stopped for speeding 35 mph in a 25 mph zone at Seventh and Harrison. A verbal warning was issued.

10:23 a.m. — A vehicle was stopped for speeding 35 in a 25 mph zone at Sixth and Jefferson. A verbal warning was issued.

10:38 a.m. — A vehicle was stopped for speeding 35 in a 25 mph zone at Sixth and Harrison. A verbal warning was issued.

10:52 a.m. — A 911 misdial was received.

11:37 a.m. — A vehicle was stopped for passing on the right at Second and Burlington. A verbal warning was issued.

12:27 p.m. — A 911 misdial was received.

12:53 p.m. — A parking complaint was received, and police checked the area.

12:59 p.m. — Cars were reportedly parked on both sides of the street in the 1100 block of Sunset Drive preventing the garbage truck from driving down the street to pick up the trash. The cars were legally parked.

1:12 p.m. — Fraud was reported in the 700 block of West Fillmore.

1:29 p.m. — A hit-and-run accident was reported in the 400 block of South Third.

1:38 p.m. — The alarm at Jefferson County Health Center sounded.

2:17 p.m. — Fairfield High School reported that twice last week a subject ran down the bus on his bicycle yelling obscenities and hitting the bus. The subject has now been identified, and school officials would like officers to tell him to stop. Police provided extra patrol.

2:27 p.m. — Livestock was reported in the 300 block of East Broadway.

2:51 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued for driving the wrong way down the one way in front of Fairfield High School.

2:58 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued for driving the wrong way down the one way in front of Fairfield High School.

5:48 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued for a traffic violation in the 500 block of East Broadway.

4:29 p.m. — A vehicle was stopped for no passenger-side brake light near the Roosevelt Community Recreation Center. A verbal warning was issued.

4:54 p.m. — Police assisted the Wapello County Sheriff Office.

5:20 p.m. — A civil dispute in the 800 block of West Briggs was reported.

5:47 p.m. — A 911 misdial was received.

6:30 p.m. — A driver was issued a verbal warning for having purple lights on his bumper.

6:51 p.m. — Vandalism was reported in the 600 block of West Broadway.

7:10 p.m. — Animals were reported near India Cafe.

7:26 p.m. — A verbal warning for a traffic violation was issued at Dogwood and Lindenwood.

8:15 p.m. — A verbal warning for a traffic violation was issued at 22nd and Grimes.

8:22 p.m. — A 911 misdial was received.

9:21 p.m. — A subject was warned for loud music in the 200 block of South 15th.

9:31 p.m. — Police assisted the sheriff’s office in the 1900 block of Libertyville Road.

10:11 p.m. — A 911 misdial was received.

11:12 p.m. — Warrant service was attempted in the 300 block of South Court.

 

Tuesday

3:05 a.m. — Harassment was reported in the 900 block of West Tyler.

4:48 a.m. — A utilities hazard was reported near MidWestOne Bank.

5:45 a.m. — A 911 misdial was received.
