Fairfield Police Department reports the following calls were received at dispatch Monday:

3:21 a.m. sign at Fourth Street and Stone Avenue knocked off post.

9:09 a.m. National Weather Service advises a strong line of thunderstorms moving into southeast Iowa.

10 a.m. vandalism to car reported, estimated damages $1,557 to $1,786.

11:48 p.m. report of a dog panting in parked car; officer contacted owner.

12:59 p.m. National Weather Service advises severe thunderstorm watch for area until 8 p.m.

2:03 p.m. blue bike reported stolen from resident’s cellar, where it had been chained.

4:15 p.m. smoke in residence, possibly a fish tank is on fire.

4:21 p.m. caller reported seeing a male forced into a vehicle against his will; see news brief on page 1 today.

4:25 p.m. National Weather Service advised area under a severe thunderstorm watch.
