The Fairfield Police Department reports the following incidents logged into dispatch:



10:59 a.m. – A caller advised that someone tried to break into his house. The suspected burglar was no longer there, and the caller did not think the subject gained entry. The caller said when he arrived at home, he saw two male subjects running toward the John Deere dealership. One of the subjects wore a gray sweatshirt. The caller said his front door latching assembly was damaged. It appeared a subject or subjects might have attempted a forced entry. Damages were estimated at $250.

6:18 p.m. – A citizen advised of a disturbance at 404 S. Fourth St.

6:38 p.m. – A lost white chihuahua was taken to the Veterinary Clinic.
