The Fairfield Police Department reports the following incidents logged into dispatch:

 

July 28

6:38 a.m. – Police investigated a potential case involving illegal trash dumping on the Fairfield Loop Trail near Walton Lake.

10:17 a.m. – Vandalism was reported in the 600 block of West Monroe Avenue.

1:14 p.m. – A resident advised of larceny in the 1100 block of West Grimes Avenue.

1:28 p.m. – A caller asked the police for extra patrol at the intersection of Burlington Avenue and Main Street because many cars do not yield to him when he is in the crosswalk.

2:22 p.m. – First National Bank reported receiving a counterfeit $20 bill from a Walmart deposit.

4:21 p.m. – A caller reported a dangerous driver headed west on West Jefferson Avenue.

4:26 p.m. – Police received a call about a power outage at Leisure Living that sounded like it was caused by a transforming blowing up.

6:09 p.m. – A caller informed police of a water main break in the 1100 block of East Jefferson Avenue.

 

July 29

2:31 a.m. – Suspicious activity was reported in the 300 block of West Hempstead Avenue.

3:27 a.m. – Unknown subjects attempted to break into a home in the 800 block of West Depot Avenue. The caller stated the subjects were shining flashlights under the door to see if someone was on the other side. Police responded but were unable to locate anyone.

 

Aug. 1

6:33 a.m. – Pence Elementary School informed the police of an act of vandalism.

1:07 p.m. – Walmart reported a case of fraud.

2:29 p.m. – Police investigated a case of disorderly conduct at Fairfield High School.

2:43 p.m. – Jason Lee Bolander, 38, was arrested in the 600 block of West Monroe Avenue. Bolander was charged with domestic abuse assault and possession of a controlled substance.

4:46 p.m. – A fire was reported in the 600 block of East Adams Avenue.

6:39 p.m. – Officers received a complaint of pit bulls not being tethered as per city ordinance in the 200 block of East Fillmore Avenue.

7:37 p.m. – An assault was reported in the 500 block of South 15th Street. The case is under investigation.
