The Fairfield Police Department reports the following incidents logged into dispatch:



9:01 a.m. — A citizen advised of a fire. An officer investigated the complaint.

10:45 a.m. — Phillip Meyer was arrested on two Washington County warrants for child endangerment.

3:45 p.m. — An accident happened in the 50th block of South Burlington Avenue. The juvenile driver was cited for failure to stop in an assured clear distance.

6:11 p.m. — A citizen advised of an assault in the 1100 block of East Burlington Avenue.

6:31 p.m. — A caller advised of a brush fire east of D Street near the railroad crossing. Officers investigated the blaze, and found it to be a subject burning materials at a building. Officers issued a verbal warning for burning building materials within the city limits.

9:54 p.m. — A citizen advised of hearing something that sounded like two gunshots on Maharishi University of Management’s campus. The citizen stated that a red and black striped Ford pickup truck took off afterward. Police were unable to locate the subjects. However, after speaking with a subject at Logli’s on Fourth Street, it was determined that the noise came from fireworks.
