The Fairfield Police Department reports the following logged at Dispatch:

 

Saturday

8:38 a.m. — A verbal warning was issued on North Fourth Street near Fairfield’s west entrance sign for passing in a no-passing zone.

9:01 a.m. — A person sleeping in her car in the 1300 block of West Stone was advised that the owner no longer wanted her on the property.

9:29 a.m. — Brad Anthony Johnson, 45, of Fairfield, was cited in the 1300 block of South Main for operation without registration.

9:47 a.m. — A civil dispute was reported in the 1300 block of West Jackson.

11:14 a.m. — An animal complaint was reported in the 800 block of Fairview Drive.

12:01 p.m. — Police investigated theft-shoplifting in the 2700 block of West Burlington.

12:02 p.m. — A verbal argument was reported in the 3000 block of West Burlington.

12:11 p.m. — A parking complaint was reported in the 100 block of South Main.

12:21 p.m. — Theft was investigated in the 300 block of East Monroe.

3:05 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued at Fourth and Carpenter for a passenger-side brake light outage.

3:28 p.m. — Police checked a business in the 100 block of East Lincoln.

3:44 p.m. — A traffic light malfunction was reported at Merrill and Fourth.

4:02 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued in the 400 block of West Stone for failure to obey a stop sign at Fourth and Kirkwood.

4:14 p.m. — Trespassing was reported in the 800 block of West Broadway. The reporting party stated that someone had broken into his house and destroyed it sometime between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

4:54 p.m. — Two dogs were found at Third and Jefferson.

5:16 p.m. — A hit-and-run traffic accident was reported in the 200 block of East Broadway.

6:36 p.m. — A sick person was reported in the 100 block of South Sixth.

7:18 p.m. — A burglary was reported in the 900 block of East Madison.

8 p.m. — Harassment was reported.

8:31 p.m. — Phone harassment was reported in the 500 block of West Washington.

8:57 p.m. — A traffic light malfunction was reported at Fourth and Merrill.

9:08 p.m. — A motor vehicle theft was reported in the 1300 block of West Burlington.

9:37 p.m. — A business alarm sounded in the 2000 block of Brookville Road. The building was secure.

10:58 p.m. — Burglary was reported in the 300 block of West Broadway.

11:37 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued at B and Burlington for a passenger-side headlight outage.

11:44 p.m. — Theft was investigated at B and Burlington.

 

Sunday

12:01 a.m. — Police checked the Ideal Energy building.

12:06 a.m. — Johnny Spencer Jr., 34, of Fairfield, was arrested in the 800 block of West Depot on a Wapello County warrant for probation violation.

12:15 a.m. — Suspicious activity was reported in the 300 block of South D.

12:25 a.m. — Police assisted with adult probation in the 1100 block of West Spaulding.

12:30 a.m. — Suspicious activity was reported in the 1600 block of West Burlington.

12:32 a.m. — Police assisted with adult probation in the 800 block of West Stone.

2:01 a.m. — A verbal warning was issued at B and Hempstead for a passenger-side brake light outage.

2:07 a.m. — Suspicious activity was reported in the 2100 block of Libertyville Road.

2:30 a.m. — Trespassing was reported in the 2100 block of Libertyville Road.

2:44 a.m. — Jose Perez, 31, of Pharr, Texas, was arrested in the 900 block of Fairview Drive and charged with operating while intoxicated-first offense and harassment of public official.

3:27 a.m. — Public fighting was reported at Second and Madison.

4:12 a.m. -- A verbal warning was issued at Ninth and Grimes for no tail lights.

7:18 a.m. -- Police provided assistance at Jefferson County Health Center.

8:49 a.m. -- The theft of a motor vehicle was reported in the 800 block of West Depot.

9:07 a.m. -- Burglary was investigated in the 2800 block of West Grimes.

9:09 a.m. -- A deer was killed in the northwest corner of Jackson Point.

10:17 a.m. -- Police assisted the sheriff’s office at Jefferson County Health Center.
