Powerful Tools for Caregivers set

A Powerful Tools for Caregivers series, sponsored by Jefferson County ISU Extension, with support from Milestones Area Agency on Aging, is planned on Wednesdays, Oct. 4, 11, 25, Nov. 1, 8, 15.

Powerful Tools for Caregivers is a series designed to provide the family caregiver with the skills needed to take care of themselves, while taking care of another.

The six classes will be held 5:30-7 p.m. in the Jefferson County ISU Extension office and the Cambridge Learning Center on the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.

Participants will learn how to reduce stress, improve self-confidence, balance life, better communicate feelings, increase the ability to make tough decisions, and locate helpful resources.

The classes are led by certified, experienced class leaders.

Registration fee is $10, with scholarships available by calling Joy Rouse, with ISU Extension and Outreach, at 515-250-5984.
