Precision Equipment collecting food for charity

Nov 05, 2012

Precision Equipment, including its dealership in Fairfield, is holding a canned food drive during November.

Donors are asked to bring nonperishable food items to any Precision Equipment to help area food pantries and homeless shelters combat hunger this holiday season.

“One hundred percent of what’s donated will be given to a local charity, so it will stay in Fairfield,” said Don White, manager of the Precision Equipment in Fairfield.

White added Precision Equipment personnel also will be able to “run around town” Nov. 13 and Nov. 26 to pick up donations from anyone who can’t make it to the dealership.

“[Donors can] contact us if they would like us to stop by,” said White.

To schedule to time to have someone from Precision Equipment pick up donations, call 472-3868 or email dwhite@precision eq.com and let them know which day would work better.

“Just have the goods placed outside your front door” states the flyer promoting the event.

The Precision Equipment in Fairfield is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays; 7 a.m. to noon Saturdays; and is closed Sundays.
