Faith Methodist Church hosts chicken and biscuit supper

LIBERTYVILLE – The Faith Methodist Church wants the community to come out and enjoy a wholesome chicken and biscuit meal at 5 p.m. March 11. Supper includes chicken and biscuits, vegetables, a salad bar and cake and pie. Carryouts start at 4:30 p.m. or wait your turn. The meal is free, but the church will accept free will donations.

St. Mary’s Catholic Church offers youth presentation

The St. Mary Catholic Church youth group is presenting the “Stations of the Cross in Silhouette” at 7 p.m. today.

The Stations of the Cross is a way to pray and meditate on Jesus’ Passion. Meditations and music will be at each station as well as silhouettes depicted by the youth. The event is free and open to the public.

First Christian Church hosts soup supper

The First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) invites to come out and enjoy a soup supper from 5-6:30 p.m. Thursday.

The menu includes soups, pies, relishes and Kenny’s cornbread. Free will offerings are accepted and proceeds support The Lord’s Cupboard. During the month of February, the church raised nearly $700 for Take Away Hunger.

Crooked Creek Christian Camp offers retreat for high schoolers

WASHINGTON – The Crooked Creek Christian Camp is hosting a weekend retreat open to all high school students April 1-2 at the camp in Washington.

St. Mary’s Preschool gears up for youth, parent Pasta Supper

The youth and parents of St. Mary’s Preschool are hosting a Pasta Supper from 5-7 p.m. March 17.

The menu includes homemade meatballs, pasta with Alfredo or Marinara sauce, salad, garlic bread and dessert. The dinner is a freewill offering fundraiser to help high school students attend the National Catholic Youth Conference in Indianapolis in November.
