RICHLAND — The Richland Public Library’s summer reading program will take a break July 2, but return July 9 with the Iowa State University Insect Zoo.

The ISU Insect Zoo will be stopping by the library from 3-4 p.m. July 9 with a program featuring live insects. Registration for the insect session is required and is limited to 30 participants.

The program will be followed by stories, games, crafts and a snack from 4-4:45 p.m. No registration is required for the second session.

The program is geared for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. Preschool children can attend if accompanied by an adult caregiver.

The Richland Public library will show a family movie rated G or PG and provide a snack from 3-4:45 p.m. Friday. The movie is for family members of all ages, but an adult caretaker must accompany children younger than 6. The next family movie is set for July 12.
